Some good points, a lot of bad
Cameras are good, but your Android app needs work, cannot view 1x7 mode and my app keeps timing out and I have to keep reconnecting about every 10 min.
As well, there is no more windows support for viewing the live feed, bad move, this was a great way to view my cameras remotely for those of us that don't have a tablet. Also used to be able to save the playback videos directly on my PC, now I have to access the dvr directly, which is not so easy as it is in a locked cabinet in my basement.

Quality 100% for the cost
Just installed a set, easy to set up and great quality of the images. Note that works 100% in hard connections. 70% on the app. I am very satisfied and recommend.

Very Pleased
Picture Quality is great. Would have liked to have been told what was needed prior to purchasing it for the sound to record. Also, would be nice if Defender attached to my computer and backed up to the hard drive instead of a USB Stick. Just minor things that would make it even better.

good first impression
For the price, decent picture and after a couple of hours of adjusting the settings and connecting the app, things seem to be fine so far. Better image than my old 720p cameras from 2015 from Samsung, but only gave 4 starts because the old cameras had a metal base / metal pivot socket / metal adjusting ring, while these cameras are all plastic and quite lightweight by comparison, but that does not mean they will not last as long or stand up to inclement weather - here's hoping. . .

The product.
Camera system is a very good system. The only issue I personally have is the DVR fan is a little loud for me. My old system was in my living room so I did not want to move all the wires for my new Defender system. The app could be a little better. I have to open twice to get the cameras to refresh.

Defenders 4K cameras System
This system is very good.
It has a very clear picture and a very wide view range.
If you have a 4K television or monitor it will look great.
But it will work with a regular basis monitor.
I have had Defender systems for years.
I have even installed them for some business.
I highly recommend this company and their equipment.

Won’t buy another system.
These cameras are wonderful. I like that each camera does not need its own power adapter. We can put 4 camera lines per power adapter. That’s something we had an issue with when it came to a different company. We ordered the 16-channel unit from Defender and it covers a 5000 square ft area easily. We love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use the system.

Great Security System. I use it for my business.

Combining 1080 cameras into a 4K DVR
Owning a 1080 - 8 camera system, I wanted to buy the 4K - 16 camera system, and reuse 8 of the 1080 cameras along with 8 - 4K cameras. The help desk was absolutely unable to figure out how to do that, so I drew up a schematic diagram for them to have their engineering section look at; which they eventually approved. BTW, it works very well. I used the 1080 power supplies with the built-in ferrite beads on the 1K cameras and the original cabling without ferrite beads for the 1K side.
