instructions are OK, no need for Spanish spoken person to understand....BUT WAIT!! MAYBE SWITCH DO NOT WORK AT THE BEGINING.....STOP, DO NOT DISCONECT OR SWITCH ANY WIRE,AS INSTRUCTIONS READS.WAIT FEW MINUTES, BACKUP BATTERY IS DEATH DO TO SWITCH SEAT ON SHELFS FOR LONG TIME.GAVE FEW MINUTES AND IT WILL WORK FINE.

Very clean looking, compact unit Easy instructions to program the timer and also to install. Price is excellent for what it does... put the timer up to the accident lights on both sides of the garage and program the timer to come on just after dark and to go off before the sun comes up. Works perfectly

It is so nice to come home to my carraige lighte on either side of my garage on. Keeps unwanted people from sneaking around, and makes it easier to park. Great price. Easy to wire and set up. And it looks like it has always been there. And you can still turn it on or off by simply pushing the buttom panal.

This is a great little timer. Not just for CFL-LED. I’ll control basically anything, as long as you don’t exceed the15AMP rating. I wouldn’t pay $22 for it, but The Home Depot has these on sale for $10, a great price. I’m actually going to order another one today.

The digital timer was easy to install and to program. It has 9 program settings available. The timer's design is discreet and attractive. It doesn't visually draw your attention with unattractive dials or buttons. We will be purchasing another.

Solved requirement to control outside lights formerly controlled by a toggle using the same box as the toggle.

We've had this switch for almost two years now. It was very easy to install and set up. After hurricane Irma, we lost power for seven days and it kept it's memory. We use it to turn our floodlights on and off. Much better than having dusk to dawn floodlights that never work right. Works great! Love it!

Works with LED's. Easy to program. Wiring diagram could have had a few more examples (multiple gang). But there's a few you tube videos out there to help.

This model# 13257, of which I recently purchased two on clearance at my local HD, appears to be an older version of model# 49814, also one which I purchased on clearance from the same batch only last month. The two different versions install, program, and function near- identically but are somewhat different in appearance. Both feature a backlit LCD display, a handy feature. However, the LCD display on the two older ones does not function, much to my disappointment. I wired all three identically - black to line, red to load, white to neutral, green to ground. Having an older home, I don't know if the difference could be something in the home's electrical wiring, or a fluke that I got the two older versions at the same time with inoperable backlights. In either case, I'll eventually have to again disassemble the three-gang boxes in which the older two were installed. Having said this, I'd like Home Depot to replace the two for me with the newer model# 49814. The backlit LCD does function sort of as a safety feature, making it easy to locate the switches at night in an otherwise dark room.

This timer was very easy to install. I only had to flip the load and line wires because my setup is a converted 3 way switch to single pole. All the negative reviews seem to be from people blaming the packaging from not being a electrician. You can see that there are 4 wires required to install thru the packaging and if you don't understand what those wires mean by looking at them then you probably should just call a electrician. The thing I noticed when the load and line wires were mixed up was it would show on but you would not hear a "clicking" on sound from the internal switch. Once I corrected that wire situation you would hear the switch "click" on when it was manually switched on and off.

1) no online video even though imstructions say there is one "for more information" 2) no daylight saving times automatic adjustment as it states on the package 3) my house has a load, line and ground. No neutral. Instructions don't say what to do in that situation.

Easy to install and program. No programming video was available at HomeDepot's website, but the programming mechanism is the same as plug-in timers and straightforward.

Previously had Defiant timer in old house. This timer was not the same. Wanted one with dusk to dawn setting. This one only has time of day settings....You have to keep changing on and off settings as sunset and sunrise times change.... Not good if you are away for more than a couple of weeks

Nice Basic timer for outdoor lights. Basic programing. No auto daylight saving changeover. No Dusk to Dawn. just a basic timer.

Im still trying to figure out how to set the timer. I've followed the directions but it's not coming on when it's supposed to.

Pretty easy to install after a couple trial and error connections. The unit has an internal battery of sorts that keeps a charge and screen on after connecting power to it. Programming made simple by included directions. I have them connected to my front and rear outdoor lights so no need to remember to turn on and off every day/night. It’s a simple and easy solution to automate the home. The price was perfect as well on HD site.

Faulty device. The timer did not work when installed. Returned it to the local Home Depot and purchased another timer off the shelf. It is working fine.
