Built like a tank. This pan is probably bullet proof. Not sure how one could arrive damaged either. Mine was packaged excellent and well protected. Fiberglass is in good shape with some rough fibers on the back side. Can't believe how nice this pan is.

Heavy Duty Shower Pan
Contractor installed in late November - he was impressed with the well built and heavy pan. Only thing I do not understand is why the center drain is only centered side to side and not front to back

Sweet shower base
The shower base has lots of round cup like level ers built into the underneath that make it ready to get fastened into thinner mortar to install. It feels real solid. Love the textured surface of the shower base.

Sturdy, solid base I installed in cement. Love the finish. I did not want a fiberglass finish for bottom because they discolor fast and the finish does not hold up. This one was acrylic finish over fiberglass to give it strength. The other acrylic pans I looked at were on foam. Possible squeak when standing on.
Not thrilled about the drain being OFF centered front to back by 1 inch on the 34" depth. Must be cheaper to manufacture. 32" 34" + 36" depth all have drain the same distance from back wall so if you get the 32" depth it will be centered front to back. I have easy access to my basement so moving plumbing for offset drain was not to bad.

Good product, dimensions were accurate. However drain location for replacing the one that was there was 2” closer to threshold than the one that was in there. Came with small ding but lucky the shower enclosure covered it up so no worries there.

this is a pretty awesome shower pan, as far as shower pans go it is the best I could find. With the name like slim line I would’ve hoped it would be even slimmer, but there is no better option. Be sure to put mortar under it so that it has a nice solid feel when you stand on it, and flex.

Slippery!
This is a well-made and good-looking shower pan, but it's slippery when it it has soap or shampoo bubbles on it. It's not safe, and for that reason, I'm only giving it one star.

I already had a transolid base to use but it had some blemishes so I ordered this one as an option to not delay the install. It was a very nice base til I saw larger flaws. The transolid was a superior base and the blemishes were able to be hidden based on location so I chose that one and would do it again. But the Dreamline would not have been a disappointment. If I didn’t have the transolid as an option I would have been extremely happy with the dreamline (other then I would have to return it and get one without the dents/divots that could not have been hidden. It’s a beautiful, sleek, solid, sturdy base with a great nonslip bottom. I would definitely order that one if the transolid base was not available.

This shower base is built very well. It’s much stronger than the cheaper pan I removed. The shower drain is a few inches off center. I would definitely buy this pan again.

Leaks after 8 Months - Do not buy
This base will leak. We have been using the same plumber for years and he does great work. He installed two of these bases in our house and because they are not supportd on the underside they will flex whenever you step on them. The flexing of the product shifted the waterproofing and resulted leaks in both our showers. We are trying to remedy the problem but we may have to remove these bases completely to avoid further leaks and water damage to our house.
Very disappointed and should have just spent the money on doing a concrete tile base because those have very little room for error.
Verdict, don't waste money on this as it is not meant for longevity.

We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your DreamLine shower bases. From what you describe, the shower bases are not installed correctly. The SlimLine shower bases must be installed in a bed of sand-mix mortar. If there is no support under the base as you describe, then the base was either not installed in a bed of mortar or not enough mortar was used during installation. The installation manual details proper installation and a mortar bed is required so that the base does not shift or flex the way you are describing. We do recommend uninstalling the bases and reinstalling them per the exact guidelines in the installation manual. Thank you for your feedback and for choosing DreamLine.
