This item is not easy to install, does not secure well and your grinding wheel will tear it up. Not worth the money.

Do not buy this, total waste of money. It broke apart from the vibration of the grinder and I ended up throwing it away.

Great addition to my grinder. Was very effective in collection of dust.

Worked well as far as dust control until the band clamp let loose causing unit to break when wheel contacted plastic housing. Would like to see a more sturdy clamping system.

The unit seems fine but it's made of plastic. When I bolted it onto my DeWalt 4.5 angle grinder it didn't t fit well at all. The part that attaches to the grinder is just a normal hose clamp, and did not tighten as it striped threads upon tightening. So I don't see it lasting thru more than one day of use if I'm very careful. I should have purchased the DEWALT Angle Grinder Dust Shroud, 5-Inch (DWE46152)

Didn’t fit well, didn’t work well on Milwaukee Fuel grinder.

I used this should on a Ridgid 18v grinder and it fit perfectly. Never came loose nor did the hose disconnect. (I needed to use a size adapter for the hose.) I used it to grind the remnants of thinset off a concrete slab. I first used a Milwaukee SDS and a 3” chisel bit to remove the tile and most of the thinset. I made light passes to ”erase” the thinset

Doesn't work for Dewalt. You need a groove around a d no obstructions to mount it. Hardly universal

This tool attachment was too deep which made it hard to even touch the subfloor I was cleaning of mastic without applying a lot of downward pressure. The way it attaches and clamps to the grinder is a very bad design. Could never get the shroud attached parallel to the grinding plane which resulted in some gouges in the subfloor when I tried to use it. Readjustments never helped the problem. The spring posts which hold the attaching clamp always interfered in getting it setup so you could do an edge without any tool interference. My grinder is a brand new Metabo HPT.

I plan to return it. It is NOT universal.

Works well enough - for someone that does it all the time, perhaps a more robust/sturdy product would work better, but for the DIY (weekend warrior) - it worked great, just be sure to read the instructions as to the offset and you should be spot on. A buddy of mine didn't follow the instructions and it was "eaten" by the tool... he told me to pay attention... I did, it worked great.

I’m typically not impressed by a universal design of anything but , this attachment impressed me to the point that I actually did my first review on anything. I didn’t even need a dust mask nor did I get in trouble for having dust throughout the house after I ground my concrete floors and walls using this dust collector attachment . Well designed and it fit both of my grinders !

It was awkward to fit on our Craftsman angle grinder. The three springs made it difficult to engage the grinding wheel evenly on our concrete floor; so we got unintended gouges. Maybe if the grinding wheel surface had been even with the brushes, it would have worked. But the grinder axle was too short to allow stacking enough spacers to do that.

This dust "cover" worked very well. However, the first one I purchased failed when the hose clamp stripped out and wouldn't keep the cover in place. THe second one (replaced by Home Depot) worked great with no issues.the

Destroyed in 1 use. Doesn't stay on the angle grinder, gets in the way of the wheel, and doesn't tighten without stripping the hose clamp. Not to mention, WAY OVERPRICED! I had attached it to a corded DeWalt grinder. I removed the shield and the little arm that holds the shield on to leave room for this shroud - still doesn't work.

The people that have there opinions and leave horrible ratings probably did a poor job utilizing and installing this tool. It worked perfectly on my Dewalt 4.5” grinder with one of the spacers. Chewed 100sqft of thinset off the subfloor in just an hour or so. The only time dust really came out from under the shield was when the vacuum filter got clogged. Works well.

The greatest thing about this product is - if anybody gives this a 5 star review, you can weed them out as fake. This is the worst designed attachment I could ever imagine. They say it fits 99% of all angle grinders. It doesn't fit the only 7" angle grinder Home Depot sells.

Purchased this item to clean up old grout. Worked great at first. If it not working correctly, check your filter on your shop vacuum. It will get clogged very quickly. But it works very well.

The shroud was easy to add to my grinder and works great. Make sure to get the vacuum adapter kit if you need it.

By listing Milwaukee compatibility I’m sure they meant the corded version. The m18 fuel version has a quick disconnect/adjusting shroud that that would prevent attaching this dustless shroud. If it wasn’t the cheapest Chinese plastic construction available maybe it would be worth making a useful Milwaukee feature inoperable… unfortunately its <$1 in production and $58 in packaging/landing/margins/marketing. It would have cracked pretty based off materials, at least they can resell it after the return
