Did exactly what I was hoping for, provided a superior clean job.

Cheaply made. Will not stay mounted to the head of Hitachi Grinder. Great idea, but poor design.

dramatic difference in dust with and without it. Used on a 4.5" metabo grinder with diamond wheel for concrete. the clamp held on pretty tight. overall did what i needed it to do. did not get to use the edge feature but the piece dis not fall off while in use and it is pretty easy to take off if needed.

Worked good on my bosch grinder, only came off a couple times. I don't think I had the clamp tight enough.

This does a great job of removing dust from the area however I found it too difficult to use. The installation is straight forward but once installed you have to push hard enough to compress the brushes before your grinder makes contact with the surface. This makes it tough to ensure you are pushing evenly. Because the housing is black (except for the very edge) it is impossible to see your work until it's too late. Because of these setbacks I had to remove the shroud and live with the dust. This might not be an issue when doing a big project, but I was doing delicate work on tile and couldn't afford to have gouges because I couldn't see what I was doing.

What an absolute waste of money. "Let's attach flimsy plastic to a hunk of equipment spinning at 10k RPM. Oh, and we'll use a flimsy, cheap attachment system to do it"Good luck getting it attached, and good luck not feeling like you need to pray to use it.This thing is going back to Home Depot

Did not attach securly to my Dewalt grinder. I plan to return due to poor fit. Good idea and concept, but would not stay attached well to the dewalt grinder.

Was able to capture a lot of dust but not as much as I expected. I switched from a 5 hp to a 6 hp vac and it performed better. I still used a blower to remove excess dust out the window

I'm assuming this will work well, would be nice if it fit a normal ShopVac hose. We got this because we have frost heave and need to grind down the concrete in front of our door. Waited 2 weeks for this to be delivered, only to find the point of attachment is way too small for any normal ShopVac. Now we have to order an adapter and wait for it. Not sure why it was designed this way, but a heads-up prior to purchase would have been appreciated.

It was a little tricky installing however it worked great. Highly recommend using this or one like it.

Only collects 70% of the dust. Less than the 99% it advertises. Unit is black. You can't see through it. I could not see or feel the grinder and ended up doing more damage than I fixed. Waste of money but 2 stars because it does collect some dust.

works really well, fits my rigid 4.5" i was grinding old block wall tile blacksplash and cement pad. check vacuum hose adapter size, and buy extra vacuum filters if using on concrete. worst part of the job i did was having to clean filter and vacuum every 10-15 minutes. but better then the alternative : toxic concrete dust covering everything : /

The basic premise behind the shroud is a good one, but poorly executed. Indeed, the item does contain the dust quite well. The problem lies in the design of the universal interface between the angle grinder and the shroud. The pipe clams style attachment is flimsy, and ultimately allows the backside of the grinding wheel to contact the plastic inner surface of the shroud. Over time, the flexible interface allows the shroud to wear away, unbeknownst to the user until the inevitable. Note that the spacer is absolutely vital for this system to work properly, as the grinding disc must be lifted away from the lining of the shroud. I got through exactly one hour of use (and about 10 sq ft) before the whole thing fell off. For nearly $60, I think we should expect a more solidly built tool. For something that actually does what it promises, it would be nice if it lasted a lot longer.

The shroud got the job done, but the attaching mechanism is difficult to get a solid fit. The shroud is made out of plastic, so if it is not aligned just right it gets rubbed and damaged. For 70.00 it should be made more substantially.

It didn't even survive being installed on my grinder. As soon as I tried to tighten the clamp that holds it on the grinder, the screw broke away from the strap (it's really just a flimsy hose clamp). And there you have it $60 down the toilet.

This product worked incredibly well!!! There was virtually no dust, as long as it was connected correctly. Highly recommend this if you're sanding down mortar/thinset with an angle grinder and grinding wheel!!

Did not fit a DeWalt grinder so I returned

I was able to remove the old thinset from 130 square foot of plywood underlayment in about 3 hours with no mess.. Saved me at least $600 in labor charges.

Unsatisfactory. Poor fit on my DeWalt 4 1/2 inch grinder, had to push down very hard to make contact with diamond wheel and the housing flexed so much it was getting worn away by the top of the wheel.

The clamp quality is very poo.

Do not waste your time with this product like I did! I still haven't figured out how to install it properly on my dewalt angle grinder. If you're on the job, this thing will have you losing money! Do not buy this crap!

The dust shroud did a great job of catching all the dust from a concrete patch leveling job, but the hose clamp that they use to tighten it to the grinder kept loosening. I had to keep retightening it. It got so bad towards the end of the job that the shroud would not tighten, and it rested on the spinning cutting wheel. This resulted in the center hole in the shroud being made wider from the wheel melting it. It still kept all the dust in though despite the failure. I don't know think the shroud will be useable for another job, which is a disappointment. I used this with a Rigid 5hp shop vac with a HEPA filter.

The product itself works excellent if you have it shimmed correctly. The shims are included with the tool. But you do have to stay on top of keeping the vacuum bag empty and the filter clean.
