I purchased this item because my son pressed a button...
I purchased this item because my son pressed a button on the display and we watched the video. It is great for small projects when you don't want the hassle of pulling out your big texture gun and the associated setup and cleanup. It shot well but the material seemed to go fast. I am glad I have it, but it will be for small patch jobs.

Extremely Disappointing, Frustrating. Inconsistent texture, no control for small patchwork.
I was hoping this would be a good solution, and the only thing EZ about this product is set-up and clean-up. The tool is all metal and feels nice in the hand but unfortunately I couldn't get consistent results. I had several dozen 2"x2" and slightly larger irregular spots to match to existing orange peel. After spending 3 hours on the first 15-20 spots with inconsistent results I called it quits. I followed instructions for two hours then played with air pressure and experimented for another hour, then scanned the web for reviews and tips. It certainly isn't as easy as "light squeeze > light application" as stated on the package. When the bag was first opened I even tried to pinch off the top of the bag to minimize suction and flow. Most often I chose to overspray and then wipe off surrounding areas. Alternatively, I tried to feather airflow to minimize blowing out globs. There is otherwise no control to "dial in" to get a good match to existing texture. There really too much volume and too much air pressure to get a nice, small and consistent finish.

You cant use this at the 30 PSI for knockdown texture unless you’re within 2 in of the surface. I ran it at 95 PSI and it worked but plows through the bag in no time. Didnt cover 4 ft2. Better off with a can for small jobs. Ceiling work requires higher PSI.

I saw a demo video at Sherwin Williams but they never had the gun. A cool idea. The bag of premixed says 30 sf -not even. Appx 5sf empty and a very light knockdown at best not quite matching the light knockdown on a modulators wall. At 8 bucks a bag,makes more sense to use the hopper and dry mix. Disappointing to say the least.

Quick and easy
I’ve used this system for couple years now and it’s so much better. Easy clean up you can control the texture by just squeezing the bag and every bag works unlike the other products

Great for touch ups around the house.
Great gun that took care of lots of miscellaneous areas that needed to be textured. Fast and simple, compared to those spray texture cans that tend to clog.

At 30 psi the gun would hardly project any material. The air hose fitting is a poor fit on the hose, therefor constant hissing from that joint. [No, the hose is OK, I use it with multiple other air tools]. Would not recommend this product.

I love this tool for applying texture. It’s so easy to use and and easy to adjust and match texture for repair work. Only complaint is the packets of compound don’t go very far so it is designed for small jobs.
