Silent and powerful
This sump pump is amazing, it takes only a couple minutes for it to empty the pit and it makes nearly no noise. I added a basement watchdog preassembled discharge pipe and the only noise is the blow off from the check valve. 10/10

I purchase this on January 14 or 15 2024. It was easy to install just read the book that comes in the box. I could believe how much water it was pumping out in a short period of time. I am extremely glad I purchase this Sump Pump and would recommend it to my family and friends for sure. :)

    Cast Iron Bottom Rusts Out
Really don't like to write negative reviews, but I'm writing because this Everbilt 1/2 hp pedestal sump pump apparently suffered a catastrophic failure by a complete rust out of the bottom in less than 4 years. Installed in March, 2018 (as my marking on the top of the pump indicates in pic). I would expect this kind of problem to surface after about 10 years. Maybe there was suppose to be a protective coating applied to the part that sits in the water, but it wasn't applied? Any thoughts?

GTF1 - I'm sorry to hear your bottom plate rusted out. This is not the experience the majority of our customers have. There are many factors that can rust out a bottom plate like water quality and temperature. However, we do carry that part. Please mention this note, and call us at 844 242-2475 and we can get that out to you. -GP Support

Welp - This pump is garbage. Do not buy.
The whole bottom is cast iron EXCEPT a cheap plastic plate bottom plate. Stopped pumping today during a big rain storm. Disconnected and pulled (so fun). Probably impeller blocked. Flip it over to unscrew the bottom and 4 or 5 of the screw circles holding the cheap plastic bottom plate on were cracked and broken (probably vibration/water). When cracked the seal is gone so the water just shoots out the seam with no power to push it up the pipe. Why fix? Will break again. Major design flaw. Junk.

meme - The bottom plate sits in water all the time and is prone to wear out. We used to make them out of metal which would rust much faster, and making them out of plastic seems to be the best solution for now. We feel for you that obviously, plastic also has some downfalls. However, we have replaceable plates and screws should you need one. Please give us a call at 844 242-2475 and we'd be happy to get one sent out to you. -GP Support

        Powerful Sump pump
This pump has a solid, heavy iron base and is designed for a below-grade sump pit with a minimum depth of 18" and minimum diameter of 12". The advantage over a submersible pump is that the motor is above-ground, allowing for easier access in case of needed repairs. Depending upon your current installation, you may need to obtain additional materials to set-up the appropriate discharge plumbing, or to retro-fit with your current pipes. The float is designed so that when the water reaches a height of 11.5 inches, the pump kicks on. The 1/2 horsepower motor offers a respectable 57 gpm force.

Everbilt 1/2 HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sump Pump (SPL05003-LQ)
Got this Everbilt 1/2 HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sump Pump (SPL05003-LQ) to replace an old one that finally gave up. I’ve had an Everbilt sump pump in another home for a few years and it’s been great, so decided to give this one a shot as well. I was told what to get by the installer, all I know is that the 1/2 HP is more powerful than the 1/3. Aside from that, I hope it’ll work just as well as my other one. Has a plastic base and an adjustable floater.

        Great pump
Seems quite heavy duty. There’s a way to move the float, if your install calls for it. Look for the chrome collar on the main rod above the float (this sets the ON). Under the float, there is another that sets the OFF. Use a 5/64 Allen wrench to loosen and adjust them. I recommend buying a check valve and installing in the discharge line. Make sure that your pump is protected from water intrusion into the top housing. Make sure the width of the hole is at least 12 inches, and a depth of 18 inches, and a flat bottom. The pump is too top-heavy, and if the floor of the hole isn’t flat it’ll tip over.

        Pumps fast and hard.
This everbilt pedestal pump has a rugged cast iron and stainless steel construction. The column is stainless steel and the base is cast iron making it corrosion resistant. It has an adjustable float switch. The float switch is preset at ON: 12.6 in. and OFF: 4.7 in. If you need to change this position of switch float its as simple as loosening and tightening the screw on the lock washer. This unit has a powerful 1/2 horsepower PSC motor with thermal overload protection. It is capable of pumping 57 gallons per minute at a 10ft verticle lift. The maximum verticle lift for this unit is 22 ft. You need a minimum diameter of 12 inches and minimum depth of 18 inches in your sump basin. This product includes 1-1/2 in MNPT x 1-1/4 in FNPT adapter. With the included threaded adapter I was easily able to take the 1-1/4 in. fitting off my old sump pump and attach it to this one. This unit does not include a discharge pipe. I am currently using a hose which works really well but I will be upgrading to pvc pipe soon. The unit comes with a quick start guide and a use and care guide. Both have a list of thing's you will need for installation. For me I did not need all of the required tools or materials because I was just replacing an existing pump. I hooked up both pump's side by side. The old pump was 1/3 HP and this one is 1/2 HP. The difference between the 2 is very noticable. The volume of water this thing pushes out and the speed at which it does blew the old pump out of the water, no pun intended. I live in New England and this year we have hit record numbers of rain fall. With all that rain we have had this year my smaller pump could barely keep up. I am very happy with this new unit. This pump has a 3 year warranty.

This is A Terrific Piece of Equipment ... but ... remember that you need power to make it run. If your power goes out, this pump will not save you ... and that's a huge problem in a lot of the nation as storms and floods come more often. The simplest solution to that problem is a generator ... a 1/2hp pump needs a 350Watt power source so most any small generator will work. Think about it ... it's a great combination.

        trusted brand
Everbilt 1/2 HP sump pump was chosen because of the brand. I have several products that are the Everbilt brand that I am very pleased with their quality. A sump pump is not an item you buy for looks, but if you need one you will appreciate how it looks. This pump can move 57 gallons per minute. You will need to purchase a discharge pipe and assembly to go with the pump. This pump is made for home use.

        Powerful Sump Pump
After getting so much rain lately, it was time to get a new sump pump. This quality Everbilt pump is the right choice for the flooding problem in the basement. The powerful 1/2 HP motor pumps fifty seven GPM up to ten feet or forty GPM to fifteen feet. A pedestal sump pump can be down to an eighteen inch pit. The heavy-duty cast iron base and stainless steel column with plastic impeller fits into a twelve inch diameter hole. It is already assembled and ready for installation. The float is adjustable for the effective cycle use.

        Quality Pedestal Sump Pump
Quality Pedestal Sump Pump. This 1/2 HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sump Pump from Everbilt is manufactured for long life and great performance. It stands 32.6 inches high and will fit into a 12 inch diameter sump basin or larger. The 115 volt, 1/2 horsepower motor can drive 77 gallons per minute with a vertical lift of 22 feet. The cast iron base and stainless steel column will resist corrosion and give many years of service. The 1-1/4 in NPT discharge and the 8 foot power cord make it easy to set-up and put to work.

        Very Quiet!
My previous sump pump was a real workhorse, but it was pretty old and quite loud and I didn't need for it to fail when it was most needed. So I was really pleased when I unboxed this Everbilt pump and immediately noticed how solid it felt. Heavier than my old one and it had a handy loop ring on the top for picking it up. It was a pretty standard replacement of my old one. This unit came with an adapter piece that screwed into the pedestal base and fit my old PVC pipe. Nice! But the best part about this unit is how quiet it is. I am impressed with the low noise it makes. It does it's job, and does it very quietly.

        Good looking product.
We ordered the Everbilt sump pump for our basement, we have been using Everbilt pumps for a few years ever since we bout our farm, this is a one half horse power stainless steel pedestal sump pump, we are replacing a smaller sump with the stainless steel pump that handles a much higher volume water and has a longer lasting life, this pump is really well built, very easy to install, and durable.

This review is for the EVERBILT 1/2 HP STAINLESS STEEL PEDESTAL SUMP PUMP. At first glance & lifting this pump out of the box, it seems to be very well made & heavy duty. I have the 1/3 HP Everbuilt pump and this 1/2HP unit seems much better built for not much more than the cost of the 1/3HP pump. Although I won't need to move the float, there is a way to move it if your install calls for it, look for the chrome collar on the main rod above the float, this one controls the on, there is another one under the float that controls the off, there is an allen screw that can be loosened to adjust. It takes a 5/64" Allen wrench. Make sure you buy a check valve for your install if you don't already have one. The instructions are in English & Spanish. The only other thing I would mention is if your pump will be beneath your house drinking water lines you might want to make some kind of cover for the pump. If the water lines ever leak the outside sides of the pump are open. In my case we have very acidic well water and it eats right thru copper supply pipes which causes pinhole leaks all the time. The Everbilt 1/2 HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sub Pump is a great pump to have. It's already assembled so you just insert it into a basin or hole that is 20 inches wide and plug it in and let it do its job on the water. The directions are simple to read and understand how to install it. It has a handle on the top to pull it out to clean around the base of the pump. It runs very quite to so you don't even hear it.

I already own a 1/3 HP pump. Comparing the two, the 1/3 HP is rated at 2400 gallons per hour with 10 feet of lift. for $89. The 1/2 HP pump is rated at 3420 gallons per hour at 10 feet of lift for $187. The increase of gallons per minute in commensurate with the increased price. However, I have found that the 1/3 HP has performed well given my needs.

This sump pump is extremely well made and very heavy. My plumber installed it for me as I am 70 years young but not as strong as I used to be. He said it was a very easy installation and he really liked the pump. Right now it’s doing a wonderful job keeping everything dry in my basement. It is quite strong in it’s discharge and really does a great job. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a strong pump.

The Everbilt 1/2HP Sump Pump is a nice complete unit. It comes with a long cord that plugs directly into a 120v outlet. You can adjust the float to the levels needed to keep the water levels where you want them. We have a basement that will occasionally flood in heavy rains. It is nice to have this to keep the water down when it begins to fill up. The float operated switch is a nice feature. The impeller housing is cast iron and can be accessed by removing the bottom cover. the pump is dependable and discharges a good volume of water quickly.

This review is for the 1/2 HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sump Pump by Everbilt. I like that the shaft is stainless steel for a bit more longevity. It is assembled right from the box and they’ve included a Quick Start Guide to assist with plumbing. However, if you’re not comfortable with installing plumbing you should get a professional as it could be tricky. We tested the pump in our pool to see how much water it displaces and, even without a pipe attached, it pushed water out of the pool from the second step. It’s kind of an unusual use for this product, but my son is thinking about using it for a pond installation.

The pump comes out of the box assembled and ready to install. It was a breeze, the instruction manual only pictures four steps. Quality materials are used with a compact design, no switch levers protruding beyond the radius of the motor, make this an ideal choice for tight spots and smaller sump holes. The float actuation points come preset, but are adjustable, and the design of them assures they're not going to move on their own.

I got this 1/2HP pedestal pump made by Everbilt to back up my existing pedestal pump. It’s about the same height as my lesser expensive pump. I like the fact that it has a stainless-steel shaft, a very heavy base that is made out of cast iron. It has a large ring at the top which makes it easy to handle. It is relatively heavy and very solid. No tipping here. I also like the 8-foot cord which gives you some installation flexibility and the float is protected by the “motor assembly” and not dangling from the side. I’ve had good success and reliability with Everbilt in the past (e.g., pool pump and smaller drainage pump) and highly recommend.

The Everbilt 1/2HP pedestal pump is designed to replace an existing pedestal pump. My home was built in 1970, I purchased this house in 2001. When we moved here we upgraded everything from roof to electrical, including siding and a new sump pump. We replaced the old pump with a new Everbilt then. Never had a problem, we replaced today just to make sure after twenty one years. This powerful pump moves up to 3,420 GPH at 10 ft. of lift. The pump is made with a heavy-duty cast iron base and a stainless steel column. The pump comes completely assembled for easy installation. The innovative float design is protected by the motor assembly. The adjustable float allows for easy adjustment to change the operating cycle. The top handle can be used for easy movement and unpacking. The heavy-duty, high efficiency permanent split capacitor motor has a thermal overload protector. The pump has a 1-1/4 in. NPT discharge, and is supplied with an 8 ft. power cord. The pump will fit into a 12 in. in diameter sump basin. The pump has a 1 year warranty. Ours has lasted twenty years and is still going strong. VERY SATISFIED.

1/2 horsepower pedestal pump with a max lift of 22 feet is a nice size pump and should deliver peace of mind to any home or business owner. Now 22 feet of lift isn’t needed in a vast majority of situations but, 10 feet is common. And at just 10 feet you can expect a discharge of up to 57 gallons per minute. This unit just needs 110 power, a catch basin with minimum measurements of 12” diameter, 18” depth , add a check valve and with the pvc connector you are ready to go. Now, I always suggest buying two pumps in the event it’s needed in an emergency. I also try selling them on a battery, battery maintainer and a audible alarm. All of this ensures proper operation, proper maintenance and longevity. I’ve used this very brand of pumps over the years with great luck!

The construction is very strong and durable. Adjustable float makes it very flexible to control water levels. It has a very compact footprint so it fits nicely in the rainwater tank. This pump comes with a supplied diameter ring or threaded bushing to make it easier to use on smaller size discharge pipes. The electrical cord is a nice long length. The motor is very quite when in pumping mode.

        New plastic bottom is junk
I had the old version of these pumps for 4 years. I wanted to put in a new pump to be safe. They redesigned the bottom of the base which is now plastic. The first lasted a week before the bottom busted through. Returned and the second did the same thing a week later. Another example of a quality product that got destroyed by somebody trying to save a nickel by using piece of plastic. The original base was all cast iron.

I got the Everbilt 1/2HP Stainless Steel Pedestal Sump Pump to protect my workshop. It comes complete and ready to install. Just need to install the drain line. The float assembly works well. I have had these hang up on other pumps but this appears to be very well designed so it won't happen. I really like that it has a ring clip on the top so the pump can be easily raised and lowered into the sump, without having to grab the shaft or motor. It seems to be solidly made. I like that it is stainless steel and corrosion-resistant. The pump is rated to move almost 3,500 gallons an hour when pumping 10 feet of lift. It has a one year warranty. I am really happy with this pump!

This is a replacement for a sump pump that has been in service for 12 years....also an Everbuilt. I realty like the stainless steel pedestal and tube. The float is smooth and not the jerky motion on a lot of sump pumps. It is a 1/2hp pump that I expect will last a long time. I like the Everbuilt brand and I highly recommend this pump to anyone that regularly uses a pump.
