I thought by the time I got to be as...
I thought by the time I got to be as old as I am that I'd begin to understand a little about plumbing nomenclature. Guess not. A faucet supply line with a 1/2 in. FIP connector seems to fit where I wanted to use this but this doesn't. Makes no sense.

Leaked. Removed, cleaned and replaced it. Leaked again. Exchanged the...
Leaked. Removed, cleaned and replaced it. Leaked again. Exchanged the part (thinking it may be defective). No different. Wrapped a towel around it while strategizing other options. The next day it stopped leaking. Not sure what that was about.

The 1/2” fitting is so deep, the male pipe wouldn’t bottom out, and leaked. I’ll be returning it. Other brand adaptor I bought was shorter and worked perfectly.
