The screws break right in half. And yes I did predrill the holes. If you buy this produce, be sure to buy some extra screws :/

Sockets are well made and seem sturdy. However on cabinets made from 19mm/0.75" material the screws are too long and will either stick through, or push the melamine off the outside of the panel - potentially ruining expensive panels or furniture. I thought I had checked this before fastening the sockets to the panels, but still seems like a silly problem when most closets/wardrobes that aren't built-in are made from material this thickness. 0.5" screws would be plenty for this product.

They had plenty in stock when I picked up three of them. They might be a little tricky getting them installed, so what I did was place one where I wanted it with either to hole on the top or bottom position and marked it. Then measured in to the mark and down to that mark. Marked the other side with the same measurements. Worked fine. They match the look of the rest of the brushed nickel hardware in the room. Strength wise they should hold quite a bit of weight.

These were easy to install. They look good and have held up to all the weight.
