My home was built without installing shut off valves for the washing machine. I went looking for substitute parts to cobble together one that would fit in the cramped space available. This piece actually fit in the space but there is no gasket between the two metal pieces so water came shooting out in between and didn't even make it to the shut off valve.

fitting for sprinklers
