When I bought this I assumed the 125lb load rating was for the spring. I had the idea that at 0lbs the spring would be fully extended and at 125lbs the spring would be fully compressed. To my disappointment the spring is actually fully compressed at 35 lbs. If you have a gate that weights 70lbs on the side you’re trying to support then you’ll need a different wheel or perhaps a fleet of these dinky wheels. If you’re only trying to support a little bit of weight this wheel will do you fine. Just dont make the same mistake I did with assuming that load rating is the same as their spring compression.

I loved this. It is steady and works very well. It’s easy to attack into my gate.
