These casters did the job of leveling my gate and allowing it to close without each gate bumping up against the other. It was a relatively simple and easy fix. My prep work included measuring the distance for mounting the spring brackets, with spring compressed (I used clamps to compress the spring). For my gate, I needed to cut two pieces of 2x4 about 6 inches in length to add to the frame of the gate so I could have a proper mounting surface. I drilled holes for the bolts using the spring bracket as a template and I used 3 inch hex bolts, lock washers, and nuts for a secure fit.

Great product works exactly as indicated. Life saver for heavy gates!

It does the job. I used it for a long gate. FYI - It doesn't come with any bolts, lock nuts or washers which you will need to attach this to whatever you are attaching it to.

As others have mentioned, this wheel is not meant to be a structural component, at least not for larger/heavier gates. I used this product to fix my sagging wooden privacy fence gate by removing the cotter pin and spring and using large washers as shims to get the wheel and mounting bracket to my desired height. Luckily, the wheel rides on my driveway which is fairly level; otherwise, this would not have worked. I will likely be purchasing one more to fix another gate!

Excellent product, with alittle modification, I was able to use it on a 150 pound gate without worrying about it not taking the weight.

Well made. I had to remount because when the wheel swiveled; it jammed against the mounting surface. I had to put a 2x4 block on the surface to extend the wheel far enough away from the gate surface so it would turn 360 degrees and not only 180 degrees.

I purchased a defective caster. Once installed the wheel broke loose. I can lift the fence gate by myself it is no where near 125 lbs.

Working just as expected.
