I recently replaced my neighbors' double gate. So to prevent sag over time I installed these casters. Looks great, functions great.

Works great. It was a challenge to install for my application but once I figured it out it was just what I needed.

Not very sturdy it is very unstable especially if there are rocks

It did the job. I used it on a wooden gate that was 6'. The gate was braced, however is still sagged. Post deflection, most likely. I used this on a grass surface. The support allowed for easier movement.

it would be nice if the spring was a little stouter

Installed gate caster on 8 foot by 4 foot swing gate I built. It works great.

Works great for supporting heavy gate!

Easy install, works great. Now have an easy open wooden gate!

With a 12 foot width opening - this wheel allows the gate to open without weightlifter strength - and remain supported when opened over a period of time. The hinges are not doing the sole support, hopefully (time will tell) this will gain longevity as I age with it!

So far, so good. I wanted to add wheels to my backyard gate to make it easier to open and close. I've just installed one so far. It seems to be working just fine. I was concerned that the hard, narrow rubber wheel might get bogged down in the loose sandy soil of my yard but so far I haven't noticed a problem.
