After 30+ years the original rod broke. To make...
After 30+ years the original rod broke. To make matters worse, the space was just under 24". Luckily this rod was easily cut and fits great. Ready for another 30+ years.

INSTRUCTIONS NEED TO BE CORRECTED
If you cut the bar per instructions only the spring loaded ends will be in the holes and the bar will rotate and I only cut it 1/16" shorter not the 1/8". If you measure from the back of the hole to the inside edge of the other bracket the 1/8" might work but I installed the one spring loaded end, pushed it into the hole till it was fully depressed and marked the bar at the inner edge of the other bracket then subtracted the distance from the end of the spring loaded end to the lip that goes against the end of the bar with it depressed. Much tighter fit and the bar does not rotate. Wish I would have thought of this before installing one bar per instructions.
