Puts out cold air, but doesn’t really cool room down. I don’t know if it’s the brand or the model, but it just doesn’t do the job. 12,000 btu should do 550 sq ft, but it couldn’t do 366. Replaced this with 10,000 btu window unit (different brand) that more than does the job, for $100 less too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the unit works for a single bedroom very well. We live in Portland so we don't need it every night but it is a life saver when it gets above 85!

Easy to operate and set up exhaust. The only issue I have is that the hose will not stay on the connections. They slide on to the outside of the connections to the unit and the window exhaust but will not stay connected which has turned my room into a sauna. I currently am using duct tape to keep the hose attached and that has not always work. I will say that this was the display unit we purchased (the only one left), perhaps there was something missing from the packaging. We may have to return this one and start over. The cooling properties work great but the problem with the exhaust hose connections is why I am rating it so low.

Assembly was fairly easy and it runs really well. Not nearly as loud as we thought it might be and we love that we can move it around to cool specific areas. Would definitely recommend this unit.

very good and quiet and easy installation and silent

This product is garbage ,doesn't cool my living room .Purchased this unit to replace Danby airconditioner which was much better at cooling down temperature.The BTU on this piece is just not true,.....it works like 1000 BTU unit. Don't buy this piece of garbage .

I live in a Bungalow style home and my living room is not that big. For $399 plus tax this unit is literally comparable to a standard fan. Unfortunately, my living room never cooled down and I ran this unit for 2 straight days on auto at 62 the lowest temperature and the room was still not cool. My thermostat read 83 degrees. I went to a meeting yesterday, held in a much larger room than my living room and they had a LG 12000 btu portable a/c unit and this room was ice cold to the point we put on our sweaters to knock of the chill. I’ll be hauling this unit in to get the LG! Totally not pleased at all.

I have found that it works fine when it is less than 85 degrees outside but not when higher. I found that a window unit works better for hot weather. I assume because a window unit does not suck cool air from inside of the room to cool the compressor and then blow it outside. Instead a window unit cools the compressor using outside air which keeps the cool air inside of the room. I wish there was a compressor cool air intake hose option as well as the existing exhaust hot air hose. That might solve the problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this to supplement the AC in our bedroom. We used to sweat and be uncomfortable all night. Now are extremely comfortable. Timer is a great feature as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] works great. have hot water heat and need to cool the lower part of the house. Have bow window so window unit was not possible. Removed screen and placed plexiglass in its place. Cut opening in plexiglass so the hose connector would snap in. Used velcro command strips to hold plexiglass in place. Peel& seal around edges. No screws or damage to wood work. Can crank window close when not in use. So far very happy with this unit.

It works perfectly fine, it is quite noisy though. Thought it’d be more silent, but it cools the room fast and efficiently

We were worried this unit would take too much room and look awkward, but it blends with our decor perfectly! We also weren’t sure it would cool areas outside of our living area due to the layout of our ranch home, so we were thrilled when it cool that entire side of our house - and on the low setting even! So pleased with our purchase and have considered purchasing another for the other half of our home

I am very please with it and it does the job of cooling down the rooms I want cool down.

It is practically impossible to connect the vent hose to the a/c/ unit and the window piece. I have no idea why this has not been perfected by now. This It is a design flaw and a common problem with all brands. I had to return mine to the store. I was very disappointed.

We bought this to replace a leaky window air conditioner last week. So far, MAJOR disappointment. We have noticed that it was warmer in our place with this one but we just figured different type of air conditioner. But today was a big disappointment. We turned it on while the place was still cool (66 degrees) and went to run some errands. It was 85 out side when we came home, it was 74 in the house. I sat in the living room and watched the temp rise all afternoon till it was 86 in the house and back down to 84 outside. It topped out here at 89 degrees outsideJ. We have the blinds closed, it was set as low as it would go and on high fan. There was nothing blocking the back and the exhaust tube was not kinked ( I know I was asked all these things when I called Frigidaire). The manual says it makes a chirping noise when the compressor is on. It actually sounds like a herd of crickets in the living room. I was told by Frigidaire that someone would call me within 3 business days. I hope so, as we will be suffering until they fix,replace or give us our money back.

So far it is working well. It’s not as quiet as I would like but still not as bad as the window units I have

Returned the unit did not like the hose out of the window the end cap holes were to big bugs and mice could get in and ruin the unit.

This thing couldnt cool off an eskimo in a blizzard. If anything, it heatsts up your room from it working so hard. Yes I installed it right, yes its on cool, etc..this thing is garbage, thats all. Didnt even touch our 12x15 room.

While it certainly doesn't feel like an Artic winter, it does cool down a room. Also, be careful when installing it, as the hose breaks very easily. Mine broke the first time that I installed it, and now I have to secure it with duct tape every time that I use it. I am going to try my look with a different brand.
