Works great!!
Have had the washer and dryer for a couple weeks. Was limited on space and this dryer fits perfectly. Both the washer and dryer work great!

New Dryer

Flat back is a space saver
W/Ds keep getting bigger, but our laundry closet stays the same size. The non-flat back model was available, but we had to order and wait three months for this one. Please make more flat back dryers!
We gave up on the expensive LG because it broke after 5 years and cost more to fix it than to buy new GE. We're back to basics and look forward to a long life. Only thing I miss is Sensor Dry.

Great power!

So far so good!

GE GTX42EASJWW Electric Dryer
Good dryer. It has the temperature ranges that I want, especially the Permanent Press (Casual setting) for non-wrinkle wash and wear. The push Start button is a little flimsy, so I hope it won't go bad. I would prefer to more solid push Start button. I like the dryer and I trust GE products.

Great dryer!

Only model that fit in a tight space
Bought this dryer as it was the only full size model that would fit in our tight space ( a closet area). Like all the features. Dries well. End of cycle buzzer is loud but adjustable.
As previous reviews noted, the door bows out a bit so we had to sand the closet bifold door to be able to close it.

Paint peeling off the top after only one year!
I have no issues with the dryer itself. It seems to work just fine. But the paint on the top of the dryer is chipping and peeling! At first, it was just a small spot so I bought appliance touch up paint. But now it's peeling all over the place. I have never ever had an appliance that has done this. And after only one year? My only recourse is to pay for a new top or put up with an unsightly dryer in my laundry one. I have mostly GE products in my home and am so very disappointed.

Works fine. Dries clothes. Still getting used to new features. Seems like it runs longer than my last dryer but I think some of that is extended tumble after the clothes are already dry.

GE Dryer
Although we like the features of our new dryer, we were disappointed with the way the front design id bowed. We bought this dryer due to its flat back and dimensions as we have limited space. Due to the bowed front, we can not close our louvre door as it sticks out just a smidge too far.

Dryer was delivered on the promised date. We appreciated the confirmation the day before, and also the notification when the installers were about 15 minutes away from our house. We had neglected to request a left hinged door, but it was easy to change it after the installers had gone.
