The appearance is nice, which is why I bought it. So, I'll keep the mounting. But I need to put in another button beacuse the action of this one is not smooth; it sticks halfway unless you happen to push it exactly right. And the entire button assembly is not held tightly by its plastic flanges, so the button with its escutcheon falls outward, spoiling the look. Further, I believe this should come with a diode. I hooked up my two-ring doorbell with this button at the front door. That two-tone "ding-dong" gives its "ding" when you push this button in and the "dong" when you release it. However, that produces a variety of effects, not all of which clearly signal which door to answer. My understanding is that a diode would keep the current active through the entire ring cycle, although perhaps that's a problem in the bell I'm using. Still, that doesn't change the way the button sticks and doesn't stay flat in place. Those are my real irritations with this product.

Button is not securely fasten to the base so the button keeps popping out when mounted

I like the style and it works great!

First one I bought broke right out of the package. I went and got another one and luckily it is still working and still in one piece.

Switch works well and looks good. When handling to install the switch disconnects from the button housing too easily. The design could be a little more robust.

Really added looks to the front door entrance way, and matched my door handles.

The first time someone pushed the button it got jammed on the ring that holds it to the faceplate. Later in the day I discovered that the transformed on the chime unit was humming. The button, being stuck on, burned out the transformed. When I tried to free the button, it fell into the hole in the wall. This is a cheaply made product with a poor design. Now I have to buy a new doorbell and a transformed. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Easy to install and lighted button

This product is junk. I purchased it to replace a 50 yr.old unit. After installing the button and on the first try the button fell apart. The retainer that holds the button to the frame failed. The 50 yr old unit is back in service.

I found out online that when purchased separately, you cannot get a very vital part called a “diode”. It allows the electricity to keep flowing when you hit the button and release. It allows the chime to finish the tune(s).

A little harder to install than I thought only because the button that was in there did not have a light and the cable that powered it was very brittle from years in service, worked it all out and I love the bell.

The bezel that holds the lighted button in the backplate is poorly fitted and does not hold the button insecurely. While installing (we installed 2 of the client-purchased units), and trying to push the transformer wires back into the hole in the house, the bezel simply pushes forward because the fitting is so sketchy and cheap.

Nice looking. Button lights up very well. Easy installation.

This door bell is junk. When you install it the wiring pushes the button out of the holster. Little plastic tabs do nothing to keep it together. Needs to be threaded with a plastic nut instead of tabs.
