The lag screws attaching to the ceiling are solid, but each of the 4 vertical rails is held up by a little 1/4 bolt. So there are 4 of these little bolts on each corner designed to hold 600#! I can never understand why companies don't oversize simple bolts when the cost increase is minimal. $10-20 more for the cost of larger bolts just gives you peace of mind. The rails are solid, and we didn't have any bolts strip out, but all of the bolts could be larger!

This is an awesome storage unit for storing large objects and bins. I bought this to store an outdoor ice rink and it works perfectly for stacking the boards. Definitely worth the money.

I wasn't sure what I'd find for hardware given reports of broken and sheared bolts. No problems at all for me. I was meticulous in laying out my brackets and pre-drilling the lag bolt holes into the roof trusses used to frame my garage. I would claim there's no way to break the lag bolts if you follow pre-drilling instructions and no way to shear the member fasteners unless you use a socket wrench for them too and over tighten -- or maybe exceed the load limits. System looks and works great.

Instructions not real clear on measurements. Ceiling mount were correct down legs had to an assemble twice to get the right.

I just installed this husky overhead storage rack in my garage and had a very easy install. This is my second one of these and both installed easily. There are welcome edition to my effort of clearing out all the stuff laying around on the floor of my garage. It helps create more space. I highly recommend this overhead storage rack.

Was missing brackets for ceiling.

Make sure you take time to attach your ceiling brackets square and straight for a great finished appearance. The assembly process was time consuming with the number of bolts used and checking squareness of end supports before tightening down. My down bracket length was with the second bracket one slot down (3 bolts x 4). I couldn't attach the bottom long supports (bolt clearance issue) without unbolting each down bracket, one at a time, sliding it down temporarily and hanging on the top bolt, attaching the support and sliding it back up. I don't like having to disassemble/reassemble (who does?!?). The middle shelf supports are tight to get in place, again bolt clearance issues), but once assembled, it was very solid. I did ziptie the 3 wire shelves together to tighten that up. Overall, very pleased.

This works great! As people mentioned before, the instructions included aren't the best. I downloaded the 3D instructions where you can turn the image and look at how the brackets go. It took a few hours for me as one person, but I got it done. Holds a lot and looks good. Highly recommended.

Easily self installed! Durable and I was able to fit 16 totes on this at 96”. Perfect.

Better than expected! Great product!

Three of the lag bolts twisted in half during installation. If you install them it's probably a good idea to pick up 8 higher quality lags or you might be wishing you had later.

The lag bolts are junk. Broke two and had to go back to Home Depot to get replacement for all 8 lags I put in. Then the down rods had to be cut due to them being to long to fit were I needed it to. Then had to drill holes in down rods. Project should’ve been very simple, but turned out to be extremely frustrating.

This is a solid rack a super sturdy. The only thing I wish it had was an additional set of ceiling arms for the middle of the rack. It might not need it, but I would feel so much more confident in it with the middle support when it’s expanded to its max.

When we opened the box, the plastic bags that were holding all of the bolts & screws were opened and we were missing several.

Good quality at a good price. Easy installation.
