The Ideal Pet Products Patio Door for dogs was exactly as I expected as described.I am happy with the ease of installation as well as the quality of the product as well! I’ve only had it about 2 weeks but it seems like it will last for a long time. And my dog loves it too! Thank you!

The door is acceptable and will work, but it is not as of high quality and ease of use (for the dog) as one I purchased 6 years ago of the same brand. I’m a bit disappointed in the sizing of the door for a large dog as advertised and the location of the door….makes the dog step UP in order to go thru it. Not a natural movement for a dog.

My dogs love the door. But, it does not have hardware to stabilize it to the frame of the patio door.

Typically, when this happens it is because you either purchased the wrong size pet patio door for your slider, or you purchased an aluminum pet patio door and are trying to use it with a wooden or vinyl slider. It seems you may not have thoroughly reviewed the documentation/information on homedepot.com prior to your purchase. For pet patio doors, measuring from the inside of the bottom track to flush of the top track is the key to success.
Please review all documents and specifications online prior to future purchases. They are included to assist our customers for the desired outcome for you and your pet.

Built sturdy. Obviously a quality product. FYI….the photo you see on line makes it look gray. The description says it is white and in fact It has a quality white finish.

Does not work for our house.
This would be great for a rental so you are not cutting a hole in a door or wall. We thought we would see how we felt about a dog door. We love the idea. We just do not like it in our patio door. I had to purchase another $25 to seal up the area to keep the bugs and air out. This is also a great choice for spring and fall, but the aluminum will suck come winter, and i assume summer.
We will be replacing this with a standard door.

I have a condo on the second floor and this product was easy enough for me to install myself as a petite female. There were no instructions included and I own a Shihpoo. A big thanks to the customer that wrote a review about this being adjustable. The video doesn’t even show this! Just gmake sure to have a screwdriver that is magnetized if you choose to alter the lower end. Otherwise product is awesome and I did purchase thicker weather stripping.

This product is for aluminum windows only. It was not compatible with my vinyl double pane patio door. The fact that no drilling into the patio door frame was the reason I ordered the product.

Dog door was too small
It's a great product and seems like it's sturdy. Unfortunately, I had to return it because my dog was too tall for the door. I wished the dog door was a little bit longer and there was less gap at the bottom
