Good price point. Easy install.

Simple and quick replacement

Nice voice feature on AC/DC unit.

Has everything to replace old Firex unit. Old mounting plate is unscrewed. Then, reuse existing electrical box screws to install new mounting plate. Plug in the supplied power adapter and new unit, then the new installation is done.

One defective other works, but had to return both.

My old alarm was very outdated. I took the old one to the store to be sure the new one had the correct connecting wiring. The associate who helped me was very professional and helpful.

I have previously used Kidde Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector and wouldn’t try any other. I did have the electrician install it, but because it was the same as previous one it took him a about 3 minutes.

Easy installation. Competitive pricing

I bought these to replace two other units. One was more than five years old and the other was about three years old but went haywire for some reason. Kidde is standing by their five year warranty and I'm just awaiting a replacement they promised to mail out. I was very happy to see that this unit fits the base plate of the old model saving me some time and effort. But the best is that Kidde got rid of the dumb AA batteries and adds just one 9 volt instead. Along with the new easy load feature for the battery, it was literally push close, snap shut, and test. Job done in a very short time. I hope I get more than 3 years out of this one but if not, I'm sure Kidde will stand behind the warranty of 5 years.

It was the alarm and detector I needed. And the last one lasted for the 10 or 11 yrs.
