Wow!
I used 61 gallons of this product on a 1500 Sq ft rolled asphalt roof 14 yrs old. Two coats. Surface relatively flat. Applied with a roller having another person pour material on using a small saucepan. Worked great! Best of all is how much cooler the house now is. Longevity remains to be seen but another coat down the line beats replacing the roof.

This sealant was used as a recoat over existing elastomeric roof coating that was applied to several flat roof sections of my home about 4 years ago. A couple of things to keep in mind if coating a roof that’s been sealed previously with an elastomeric roof coating. 1.) keep in mind the time of the year when you will be completing the work, as I applied it the first time during the summer months and, although the roof was hot, the product dried quickly. This application was done during late November in Florida and one of the roofs gets almost no sun and stays damp/wet during this time of the year making the curing process very difficult. This product needs warm dry temperatures to dry properly and I would not have attempted to apply it in the winter months in Florida had I known this would be so challenging. 2.) Thankfully, this product spreads better when it’s a recoat so I was able to return two of the 5G containers at the end of my project, which was a plus.

Hi Todd, you are correct on the weather. Here are the company's suggestion for application coatings. Apply only when temperature
is above 50º F (10º C). Do not apply if temperature is expected to drop below this level before drying is complete. On overly hot surfaces, cool with water spray to prevent sealer from drying too fast. Two coats are recommended for proper sealing, applying coats perpendicular to each other. Never thin or dilute from full strength.

I bought this to seal my roof I got 4...
I bought this to seal my roof I got 4 bucks of 5 gallons and it didn’t help with the energy bill and didn’t stop the leaks over 400 dollars spent and now I have to redo with a different brand thanks

Hi Lareau, sorry to hear that you were not satisfied. To acquire an optimal finish we highly recommend two applications at a rate of 50 sq.ft. per gallon, this will significantly lower the interior temperature of the structure by reflecting 73% of the suns’ rays and reducing heat received by 85%.

I had to wait until the weather cooled to use...
I had to wait until the weather cooled to use this product. It went on very easy and I applied 2 coats. Since then, it hasn't rained enough to know just how well it has sealed but, so far, so good.

I used White-Seal to coat some aluminum awnings that had been painted years earlier. White-Seal is thicker than normal paint but does not cover blemishes as well, still I believe it did the job of making the awnings look better
