I love this stuff. This is my second gallon. Have painted a flat roof with it and stopped the small leak. It is easy to apply, covers as advertised. I would heartily recommend.

I pay in store more of $ 100 and online 75 dollars. I am not happy with the store price.

I used another product that I got from my roofer. it did not cover well on my 18yo asphalt shingles. the other product only covered 40sqft per gallon at best. Lanco did much, much better. I got nearly 60sqft per gallon with first coat. it is a thinner product than the other stuff and got into the dimensional shingles much more easily. after it was dry I went over it with my commercial blower that puts out 200mph air and not one shingle lifted. time will tell but it appears to be a great ptoduct.

I used this coating on a flat roof section of my roof that had aged cracked black top. Two coats sealant does seems to hold up really well. I am on year 2 right now and I do believe this product does live up to its name. I would probably re inspect my roof at year 6 and maybe add another top coat

Goes on well, great coverage, color change from blue to white helps in application involving overlapping. Fills cracks and small areas of damage quit sufficiently. Looks good on roof and it is white.

Very effective for what we required.

Put 3 coats on with a 1 inch roller in the winter months. Summer is here and I have cracks everywhere. Which means my roof leaks are back. Not a good product.

Has a great coating. Works very well….

well took 2 more buckets more than I estimated for my shingle asphalt roof but am guessing coz its....asphalt lol FYI avg house temp BEFORE coating was 86-89* AFTER coating its 79-80*

Be me: move into recently flipped home in Florida with a flat roof. Built in 1959. Love house. So nice. We are very happy. Realize the ceilings are 115F on sunny days. Be hot all the time. Get sad :-( Google "Florida home insulation companies;" get more sad when read quotes. Google "roof coatings that make house less like the surface of the sun." Get happy. Enter LANCO! God bless these people. I am an avid DIYer, wood worker, handyman, etc. Father of 3, husband of 1. I stay pretty busy with house projects, especially on this house we bought 4 months ago. The AC unit is a brand new 7 ton system. But the house never got below 80F in the day time with the sun out. AC ran 24/7. I used a laser thermometer and realized the ceilings were hot to touch....uh oh! Weeks of research, quotes, even costing out building a second floor! We were desperate! I had no idea products like this existed. They make a Cool Max version, but for $110 more PER 5 gallon bucket. My roof is massive. I need 16 of these buckets to cover the square footage with 2 coats. So for $88/bucket, I settled on this happy medium version. I started applying with a 6' long 9" wide nap roller. This was decently effective, but it took a very long time to do even a small portion of my roof. I went back to HD today and discovered the Wagner Side Kick, which pumps the liquid through a line keeping the nap roller constantly supplied. Nobody thought it would work, but it works exceedingly well! Ok, so the numbers (all temps taken at same time of day, bright sun light, etc) -Uncoated roof: 170F -Coated roof: 114F -Hottest part of ceiling before White Seal: 115F (yeah....I just....yeah) -Hottest part of ceiling after White Seal: 80F I was skeptical about this product's claims, but I can tell you it has exceeded my expectations in big ways, which is quite rare for me. I can't recall a time recently where I've spent a lot of money on something and thought, "oh man this is gonna be even better than I thought!" It's always the opposite and I'm at the return counter the next day. Not with this. My wife is very concerned with how happy I am and how much I giggle when I take laser temps now. Sometimes I go on the roof and just take the temperature, laugh and climb down the ladder. Then I go inside and do the same thing. I find myself doing things like not sweating through my shorts while sitting in my office, and eating dinner without sweat getting into my meatloaf. This stuff is RIDICULOUSLY reflective. You're basically putting a mirror on your roof. Not in terms of seeing your actual reflection in it, but it reflects basically all the sun light. When applying, wear a stretchy fishing neck gaiter to cover your neck and entire face up to your nose, then very good polarized sun glasses, gloves, long sleeve fishing shirt/rash guard, shoes you can throw away and a good hat. Without all this, you will absolutely get fried. Good luck and enjoy your new (massively cooled) home.

I just put the sealer on the roof not long ago and only had 1 rain since then. So far, it seems to be a really good product for sealing a roof.

We have used this product for many years; made a mistake for a lesser price but returned it after 2rollers full-watery. This dries quickly-living in south Florida is always a little tricky weatherwise, only once have we been caught in a good rain shower +-4 hours after finishing. There was a little lightly-white water down one of the gutters, so I was grateful and happy. My husbands prep work is to scrub the roof with a very stiff work broom using a 5 gallon bucket of water and Joy dish detergent, 1 cup of bleach then rinse really well and let dry at least a day. The coating goes on smoothly and covers well, equal to the amount listed in the information on the bucket label. He applies this to our membrane roof as well as the metal carport roof. He did NOT use a primer on the metal roof and it hasn't rusted, loosened, flaked. We apply it every year due to sun damage on other items outside ie: bicycle cover's which fade and then tear, we feel our roof needs the extra protection, never encountered any problems. Highly recommend
