Works wonderfully, just the answer for 4 way lighting switches

Perfect for newly remodeled living room!

Your packaging suggests these 2 dimmers CAN work as single or three way switches. they can't. remote unit cannot be used as a single switch. please clarify for new buyers.

Excellent dimer, great instructions

The dimmer has push-in connectors for the wire, but they only accommodate 14ga. wire. If your home was wired with 12ga. wire you must use the screw-type connectors, but these are poorly designed. Instead of having a channel for the wire that allows the screw connector to tighten against it (like the Leviton switches) these require you to wrap the wire around the screw terminal, not easy with 12ga wire, especially since these switches were intended for a max of 14ga. This seems like a simple task, but it becomes very frustrating after you've done it a few times, especially since with a little forethought they could have avoided the problem altogether. The attachment of the decorative plate to the front of the switch requires you to press a couple of small catches from the back of the switch. If you need to remove it later those catches are not accessible and you run the risk of damaging the wall plate. Makes me wonder what other questionable design is hidden in the switch.

I exclusively use the Lutron Meaestro dimmers. They have always worked flawlessly. The online resources are great.

A challenge to instal the Lutron Maestro switch with companion. First you need to know which location is the master (source of power). Then programming the switch is not intuitive. We were able to program them properly only by talking it through with the telephone support chat

I typically am happy with Lutron products. This one is an exception. I installed the motion detector 3-way switch in our mudroom. The two canned lights which are dimmable emitted an irritating buzz. Programming is NOT easy.

Great switch. Straightforward installation. Used this to replace an older 3-way dimmer switch. The older/previous switch had the dimmer on one switch side only. With the Lutron dimming capability is on both ends. The Lutron can be turned on to previous dim level (one tap) or full bright(double tap). One switch is considered the master, which goes onto the hot side of the circuit. The master has the LED indicators. The slave side has no indicators but is fully functional. This is my first dealing with a 3-way switch so I had to analyze the existing wiring and understand which wire goes where ( I am not an electrician). A 3-way switch is more complex than a single switch. Nevertheless the individual wire purposes for the new switch are identical to the old switch. The Lutron switch dims our LEDs bulbs much better than the older switch. Note that some LEDs do not dim as low as the older incandescent bulbs. I purchased 3 sets; all work admirably with different bulb types.

Easy to install and works as promised

It takes a bit of learning but we love it.

Great choice for replacement of standard 3-Way switches that would only allow “dimming control” from one of the locations , not from both. When wiring, you have to be sure to use one of the two “travelers” as a dedicated wire from the designated terminal on one switch to the corresponding designated terminal on the other switch. You can use an ohmmeter on the de-energized circuit 2 travelers to identify each traveler end ( traveler wires are generally the same color ). Worth the extra cost !

Great product!! Worked as expected, easy install!!

Great dimmers. Modern look. I have them all over the house. My only negative comment is that they are very susceptible to the smallest power surge. I saw a lighting bolt in the sky a distance away and 6 of the 12 dimmers died instantly. No other damage to TV, computers but to these. Still, I like them so much that I bought the same thing to repair.
