First of the new generation of cordless impacts I have tried. This light weight tool has heavyweight performance. I will be building a new deck soon and am sure it will do a great job.

I bought a larger kit 2 yrs. ago that came with a Drill/Impact, Hex Impact Driver, Recip. Saw and Flashlight. The Kit came with two of the larger 18 v Batteries which are heavy if you are working in tight spots all day. I wanted to buy the smaller battery for the Flashlight and small jobs to install a few screws. I saw this kit on sale and jumped on it as the kit which included 2 batteries and the Hex Impact Driver was only around $10.00 more then the cost of one Battery. Worked in a mechanical shop for 28 years and we used Mikita cordless tools they didn't last very long the triggers always broke or the bearings would go out plus the battery run time wasn't very long either. So glad that I went with the Milwaukee brand for my personel use there stronger the batterys last for hours and charge up in half the time. The batterys last so long that I new I could buy the smaller batterys to cut down on the tool pouch wieght and still have the power I need to get jobs done. FYI The 18v have lots of power practice driving a few screw on a test piece or you'll be busting off screw heads.

I bought it on sale with 2 batteries for $99,an awesome deal at that price,i've had great luck with Milwaukee tools in the past

I got the set of these for Christmas about 5 or 6 years ago. They have worked great ever since I got them. The impact came on sale had to get it because I am still using the first set of battery's and what a deal got imp act and 2 new batteries.

Picked this up for the "Deal of the day". Very happy with the purchase. Its not the "Fuel" brushless one, but it is a workhorse for the $. Two batteries and a multi charger is great. Only problem is now I want more Milwaukee 18v tools.

Very good product, especially for the money. I like the fact the battery is interchangeable with my other Milwaukee cordless tools. I have not used this one very much yet, but have used the same driver that belongs to my co-workers. Should last a long time.

Great tool for all remodel tasks. Light weight and battery lasts a long time.

Best deal I've seen on a M18. Didn't really need it but couldn't pass it up. One of the highest quality Manufacturers out there.

I have owned several Milwaukee power tools though the years. Tough, reliable long life tools. Super buys each day from HOME DEPOT are the trick.

This is my first impact driver and I really like it. It's hard to compare to any other but it does a great job so what more could you ask for.

Long lasting battery, stays strong seems like forever. Light, love the LED light make useing it better. It'd the best driver I have and I have eight.

Nice 2 speed drill works well for many applications. The compact size makes it the go to for tight spaces. Since there is no adjustable chuck all drill and screwdriver bits, sockets etc. must be 1/4" hex to fit. I am happy with it for the most part, but I realized my big yellow 18 volt drill works better when burying a long screw in undrilled wood, it just seems to have more torque. When the impact kicks in on the Milwaukee it slows down quite a bit and the process seems time consuming . My big yellow drill just runs the screw in at full speed and I can move on to the next without any wait. Overall it was a good purchase and it is just another tool in my arsenal. You can't have to many tools and this is a good one to own.

Can never go wrong with anything Milwaukee builds. A tool with plenty of power And a battery that lasts.

The impact driver is great... It's small, powerful and reliable.

I had already owner one of these and the deal was to good not to take advantage. I'm looking for the hexigone light to go on sale.

I used dewalt for a long time bought one of there 24 volt hammer drills. Thought I was getting the best. Turns out they discontinued that model so I could no longer get a battery for it. This was about the time Milwaukee 18 volt line started to come out. I have used there tools for years with no complaints. There built to last! This one was on sale for a good price plus it came with two batteries. No brainier

This Impact Driver is nicely balanced and is designed very well. The other drivers I looked at were taller and heavier. This design fits nicely in my hand and delivers more than enough power. The two batteries are a huge plus.

It is a great drill package, but you do not have anything that will fit the chuck. You will need to buy the items that will fit the chuck to use the drill. I had to buy $15 of accessories to make it work. YOu will have to buy specialty drill bits to be able and drill things. Did not even come with the impact socket needed to drive screws.

This impact driver is what the doctor ordered. After having many other brands of power tools, Milwaukee has proven themselves to me.

I already had one but purchased the second to have as a spare. Also with the two extra batteries it was like getting the drill for free. Love it.

I equate impact drivers to the internet and cell phones, how did we survive before them? I've owned a Craftsman C3 impact driver for years and on a job site we always seem to be waiting our turn to use it. It was definitely time to buy a second one. I caught this impact on sale and with two included Lithium Ion batteries it was a no-brainer, I had to have it. I won't buy anything that comes with NiCad batteries, Lithium Ion is the only way to go, they are far superior. This tool is small, light and very powerful. There are many models out there and this Milwaukee is among the best. Highly recommended.

Happy that I found this drill. It meet all of my expectations

I needed a solid tool to screw together a coffee table that was falling apart. I used 3.5 inch wood screws. I had to drill through the 2.5 inch pine square support legs, then into another 1/2-3/4 inch of pine shelving in 8 locations on this table. The Milwaukee M18 compact driver drilled these screws in like butter with plenty of power to spare. I am now a lifetime Milwaukee customer!

I bought this about one month ago for some remodeling projects around the house. I had never used an impact driver before and had always relied on my drill/driver. Several friends have them and love them. I chose the milwakee because I have an 18 volt lithium ion drill that has served me very well for about three years and the batteries and chargers are compatible with both tools. I must say the impact driver is a great tool and I wish I bought it sooner. I use it constantly. It drove several 1/4 x 6" lags with no problem with out pre-drilling. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is I can'attest to its durability because I have only had it for a month but I will say if it is anything like my 18v drill/driver that won't be an issue.

This is a great impact driver. It's extremely lightweight, very comfortable grip, small head size to get into tight spots and the 2 speed selector is an excellent addition. It has everything I need in an impact. I'm not sure why Milwaukee didn't put the one handed bit insert chuck on this model, not a big deal. Light is decent, front of the impact casts a bit of shadow when working in dark places. All in all my favorite impact driver.

This Milwaukee m18 impact driver is a huge improvement over the previous model. This model is lighter smaller faster and has more power. This one also comes with the two speed switch, which I use constantly when driving small screws on more delicate projects. I also like the fact that it is an actual switch verses the button they put on the brushless line. It seems much more durable. Milwaukee makes amazing products you can't go wrong. Only two complaints on the description it says it has a quick chuck. Which I thought meant you could slide the hex shank in with out pulling the chuck back like most dewalt and there brushless line. But this is not the case. It's a small annoyance but I feel like there's no reason to omit that feature. Also the batteries are only 1.5 amp hour, very small. They sell the 2 amp hour batteries with other models why not this one?

There is little question over the capability and performance of Milwaukee tools. I am afraid this review will not provide much input other than that I am happy with the tool so I will focus on other things I like about my Milwaukee tools. The batteries are solid and the multi-battery charger is a nice feature. I own M12 and M18 batteries so having a dual charger is perfect. The carrying case is tough and a great place to store the tool when not in use. I like the quick-chuck on the tool. It is smooth yet sturdy. I think Milwaukee has a great selection of available tools and is my preferred brand. I also like that Milwaukee has great accessories such as their Job Site radio which is relatively inexpensive but also takes advantage of all my batteries.

This is a great little impact driver. It is really lightweight yet you can tell it is built tough. It has a super strong belt clip/hook on the bottom of the handle that is really convenient. The battery is right-sized to keep things light and I was able to use it for several hours with no problems. The charger can charge both M18 and M12 batteries, and the case is really well made (which is something in many cases gets skimped on). It also comes with a second battery. The front has an LED flashlight built in that lights up when you lightly pull the trigger and it fades off on a timer after maybe 15-30 seconds of inactivity.
