Handy timer for soaker hose
The faucet timer is very easy to program. There are many options including a setting every X number of days. There is also a manual timer that can be set for 90 min. without disturbing the program. This runs on batteries. The timer has worked as designed and turns on and off for the times set. I had an issue with my faucet handle interferring with the timer and had to buy a male & female hose end to extend the spigot far enough from the handle. Attached is a photo before the extensions were attached. I also have a Y attachment so I have a normal hose on one and a soaker hose on the other. The timer is attached to the soaker hose.

Works good!
I am currently using the hose faucet timer to water an area of my property that I am attempting to grow grass. What I wanted was the ability to water multiple times a day for short periods of time. This timer fit the bill. The ability to program different times, and different days should keep my soil moist for optimum grass growing. If it happens to rain there is a rain delay feature that stops the timer from watering. Hopefully I get some grass to grow. If I don't it won't be the timers fault!

Nice Timer But Has Limits
This is a nicely built water timer that is easy to setup and operate. The timer is well built and has rubber grips molded into each end for a sure grip it also has a rubber coated brass faucet connection. The unit has a larger screen (1.5" x 2.3") with large easy to read text. Even in full sun the text it sharp and clear. Setting up watering times is easy with the included instructions but they are almost not needed since the timer is very intuitive to navigate. But the unit has its limits; the timers hose outlets are restrictive. I tested the flow into a 5 gallon bucket, and found that the timer restricts about 20% of the waters flow rate. This was with just one of the outlets running. When both were running there was almost a 40% reduction of water flow. Overall this is a good water timer for most watering applications but if you need full flow to run large sprinkler there will be a decrease in water flow and an increase in watering time.

Very simple and easy to use timer
This timer is very simple to set up and get going. The process of setting the time, dates, and sprinkler times took me about 8-10 minutes and the instructions were very straight forward. I have it set to come on at 2 day intervals, at 6:00 AM, for 16 minutes right now until summer comes and it has worked without issue every other day. I particularly like the rain delay button since we've had a few stretches of storms that I was able to push the button and keep the water from being wasted on those days.

Didnt know this existed
A pretty cool invention. A very self explanatory setup and installation. I do suggest reading the instructions over once to understand how the buttons work. I have this hooked up to 2 oscillating sprinkler heads that are 100 ft apart. So every morning at 5am both side of my yard gets watered for how ever long i want it to. You can set what time it starts - how long it should run - and what days of the week it should run. It also has a rain delay option that allows you to shut it off for a certain number of days if it is due to rain. I did not like how confusing it was to manually use both side for when i was testing out the oscillating sprinklers distance. I do wonder what would happen if the batteries ran out while it was in the open position. Takes 2 AAA batteries

Simple and effective watering system
I do not have an irrigation system and I am not ready to invest in one. I have looked at this timer and the single station timer several times while in the Home Depot store. Requiring only two AAA batteries, the LCD screen comes to life. Each turn of the dial presents you with the following options. 1) How often - this setting gives you the ability to program the three programs that are configurable - A, B and C. The options for "How Often" include selecting specific days of the week, or an "INT" setting to do every 4, 6 or 12 hours. Turning the dial to "How Long" lets you specify how many minutes to water in station 1 or 2. Turning the dial to "START TIME" is where it gets a little tricky. From "START TIME" you are presented with the three programs, A, B and C. You can specify which stations, 1, 2 or both together, you want to have on in a specific program. Using the interface it takes some playing around with the buttons to figure out how to program the device, but after some trial and error I was able to get it set the way I needed it. The goal is to have a solid box around the options (A, B,C, 1 and 2) as well as the Days of the Week - this is the indication you have "selected" this option. Having used it now for a few weeks everything is working as expected and is a far cheaper option to a full irrigation system install. Also, this is handy to have around when I need to spot water an area instead of the entire yard. Just don't use it below freezing - it says it won't work, but not sure why anyone would do that in the first place. Also, there is a manual option so you can turn on a station manually for a specific time and a "rain" option that you must manually press if rain is expected - it doesn't sense rain by itself.

I'm not going to be a "water waster"
Because I am conscious that water is one of the most precious commodities available here on earth I try to use it responsibly. I used a water timer to control the amount of that precious fluid I put back into the water table by irrigating my lawn at times when it helps my lawn and my neighbors. The problem I had was that the timers I bought only did one timing per watering session and most of the time they failed at the seams because of water pressure thereby completely defeating the purpose. This outlet timer is sturdy enough to keep it together to do the job and is programmable not only to water for a certain length of time (1 to 360 minutes) but how often this is to happen on which and how many days of the week it is desired to water. It even has a "rain delay" feature which allows postponement of watering from one up to seven days when the weather is going to take care of watering on its own. Of course, there is also a manual bypass so that the faucet may be used for normal purposes as well. This device gives me the confidence to set it and forget it even if I have to be out of town for a few days. I should mention that this device operates on two AAA batteries which are not included in the package. These are installed in a compartment in the back of the device.

Great for any homeowner
I have always owned faucet timers because they provide an easy way to help limit watering and living in texas we need to conserve the water we use. I have used two other orbit timers before this one and they have all stood up reasonably well lasting at least 1.5 years, which is pretty good with the hard water and killer sun we get. What makes a good faucet timer? Easy. Something easy to use and something that stands up to the elements (within reason). The orbit timer makes it really easy to configure and manipulate as needed. Just twist the main dial and enter your needs. Manual settings are also important. On this one you select which tap you want and turn it on/off with a button click.

Performing as expected
This is the most user friendly timer I have ever purchased. Glad I found it at Home Depot. Hope it will be able to survive the Arizona heat.

Excellent Time Saver
Easy to use. I have a very long hose to our irrigation system and use quick connect fittings with plumber's tape to prevent leakage and the manual feature allows me to hook the hose up to the nozzle and I set the timer for how long I need and then it turns it off so I just re-hook to the irrigation system before walking back. Rain delay is a great feature. The only thing I would've done differently is buy the two hose model. Some parts of the garden need less water than others but that's an easy work around, I just close off the four hose outlet to the parts that need less. This doesn't leak at all and has gained my trust. Hooked it up right next to the house to reduce loss of water in the hose from condensation. You can change the settings for amount of time to water, how often, etc.. in a snap. Rain delay works perfectly, just used it for 3 days straight and it clicked right over. I spend more time enjoying the garden and less time dragging a hose around. wonderful addition I wish I would've gotten sooner. It also shows what your timer is doing all the time such as a rain delay icon appears when in use, it flashes through when it will be watering next and how much time is left in manual mode as well as the time of day every few seconds.

Works great. Easy install. Still allows lots of pressure when it cuts on.

Basic faucet/hose timer, with minimal capabilities, but without "bells & whistles" such as Wi-Fi capabilities which make items unaffordable. Please keep some simple options like this available. Thanks!

Second units leaks same as original unit
The first unit developed pinhole leaks inside the controller. Yes, I took it apart to see why water was leaking out. I thought I may have left it outside, when it got cold, so my problem letting it possibly freeze. I bought a second one, for the following year, and was diligent to bring it inside before any freeze. I just set it up for this season and it developed the same pinhole leaks inside the controller. I was so careful not to let it freeze because of the first one. So, it's not that it froze, it is poor quality. It leaks at the joint areas of the black plastic elbows. Not going to buy another Orbit controller.

Less than 2 months of use and doesn't work now
Bought this to set up a drip system for my raised beds while we were gone and only used for about 2 months. Only used it when we were gone for more than 2 days. It does a good job of managing the water when it is working. Batteries don't last very long in this system so have several on hand. Took it up at the end of the season and stored it until this year. When I got it back out to use it this year it will not come on at all. Frustrating to say the least.

Unsure yet. Snowbirds, did some landscaping on our trailer site. Set up a place for our planter pots and installed a sprinkler. Hope to see the plants thriving next fall. Let you know then what I think of it. It’s simple, easy to set up and worked very well under testing trials. Affordable. Will buy again for home gardening this summer.
