I ordered the fireplace kit on-line and had it delivered to our local store. I ordered the stone and concrete from our local store. They delivered everything to my house for just 79 dollars. Much cheaper than the $945 shipping if I had ordered everything on-line. The only problem I had was that the glue supplied with the fireplace kit was old and was impossible to squeeze out of the tubes. Our local HD doesn't stock the Quikrete adhesive but they traded it out for SikaBond construction adhesive. That stuff is great, easy to work with and super strong bond. I was going to place the fireplace on an existing concrete slab but it was not very level and had a 1/2 inch dip in the middle. I did myself a favor and poured an additional 31/2 pad over the existing slab making sure it was dead flat and level. I followed the instructions and everything went together great. I did have to grind a little here and there between layers but nothing extreme, maybe one hour total time. We completed the entire in three days. Check out the pictures, I thing they speak for themselves.

Very easy, only 4 cuts in the whole fireplace! Directions easy to follow.

Exactly what I expected

Overall it’s a nice product. Mine was missing the bolts for the flue and 24 tubes is not enough adhesive. Minimal cutting required but there is some. Don’t be in a hurry to assemble as it’s best to let the glue harden every few layers to prevent shifting. I added a gas log lighter and firewood storage boxes on the side to compliment.

Be aware, this thing will not come out close to level unless you shape and level every layer. Bricks are much easier to lay. Very challenging to make it look like the pictures.

It’s an incredibly easy and gorgeous fireplace kit for a DIY project! I’m so glad I checked the Home Depot site. It was the perfect addition to my backyard landscaping!

Love the end product! It is beautiful, but had to have a professional to finish the build. It was difficult to maintain a level build when the stones were not level. Also had to fashion a cap to prevent water from coming down the chimney.

This was a fun project and it goes fast once you get going! Recommend that pavers need to be be made more uniformed in size that would help with keeping it leveled. Otherwise the customers having to spend more time leveling and adding pennies and extra mortar! Do order extra adhesives ahead of time as the ones included are not enough to complete the project. Other than that mentioned this is a beautiful fireplace!

Stones are very uneven. Made the stacking assembly very difficult. You have to shim the stones all the way up. Not to mention the terribly delivery experience AND the busted fire box. Had to wait for a new one.

Nice size..easy instructions to assemble. Completed my outdoor space perfectly.

The pallets arrived but I was missing the insert, the glue and the a whole pallet of materials. Very frustrating to have 5 pallets of block sitting in the driveway and waiting another week and a half to start. All the packing slips said 6 pallets yet I only received 5. I usually use Belgard block or teco-block and it was the first time using Pavestone and I can say I'm not satisfied about the process. Just found out it's in transit from Colorado and I live in PA, could take 10 days.

This fireplace is absolutely beautiful! While it recommends having a professional put it together, one or two people can do it. You MUST read and follow the instructions before attempting this project and have a level and sturdy base to put it on such as a concrete slab or pavers.

Stones arrived on box truck with lift gate. One crate of stones had overturned onto another crate of stones. My husband and truck driver had to restack both crates of stone before they could be unloaded. My husband had to use his tractor with forks to unload crates from truck. After removing shrink wrap from stones on pallets, we discovered over half of stones had really bad corners. These are obviously bad stones that couldn't be sold at Home Depot individually. Pavestone has done their image a big disservice to market these stones in a fireplace kit. I would not recommend this fireplace kit to anyone. One star would be too high a rating.

We love our outdoor fireplace! The instructions were easy to follow. It took 2 people to build: 1 person to do the heavy lifting (all the stones together total about 10,000 pounds!!), and 1 person to tell him where to place the stones. It was built in 2 days...it's gorgeous!

I ordered the Sierra stone. This fireplace looks great and directions were like putting together Legos. The deliver guy dropped off 6 pallets in my driveway and it took 3 hours two people and 2 wheelbarrows to move the stone to the backyard. Then it took 4 hours and 4 people to put it together. Make sure each row is level. You may need to shave some stone or add some sand under one to make it level. I also used pennies under some of mine to level it out. Things additional I needed: chisel (there is a step to break 2 stones in half), hammer, rubber mallet, 5 more glue tubes (the ones that came with the kit were good, I just needed more), mortar or sand.

This fireplace is very impressive. Plan for 3-4 people to assist as the pavers come stacked across 5 pallets. If you have the ability to get the pallets place right next to the install site the installation is then much easier. I only had one additional friend and install took 14 hours over 2 days.

This fireplace was engineered well and design was easy to follow. We are very happy with new addition to the back yard, especially at a reasonable price.Looks great and everyone goes,WOW

I had to download the instructions from the internet and they were very sketchy. Overall the product is good, took my wife and myself a day and a half to put together not including the foundation. I would recommend using mortar where the instructions call for sand to level the layer of bricks above the fire box. I would also recommend buying a fire screen to go with this.
