Amazingly useful and convenient
This might be my favorite Ryobi tool I have. This is my go to saw for any small branches or brush that I need to clean up around the yard. It is small enough to pack for everyday camping and cuts the perfect size branches for campsite firewood. Very powerful for the size and price. It's lightweight design and easy adjustments make picking this up for a quick job around the yard a breeze. I love this little saw.

I own a Chinese knock off which is quite good and has a manual oiler.. I bought the ryobi because i feel it is a better built unit and i own many ryobi tools which i have found them to be very good. One item that i would have like to have seen is an automatic oiler as they have on their pole saw. If not an automatic a manual one. I am currently using it to cut down wood to a smaller size for my smoker.

Must have if you use RYOBI cordless tools
I bought the mini chainsaw pruner about 2 weeks before we had strong storms come through St. Louis.
Family, friends and neighbors had limbs down. The larger branches were easily taken care of with a longer RYOBI chainsaw.
The smaller branches were cut using the 6". The estimated time was 3 hours. We had everything cut and stacked within 45 minutes.
Easy to use and compact. Do yourself a favor and get it.

Like it and so far very satisfied with the saw. Have only used twice. Like its small size as we carry it on our ATV when going through the trails. Does great job of cutting small size limbs and trunks. even cut effortlessly through bigger limbs even though had to cut from both sides. Recommend this tool.

This is my 2nd time purchasing the 6" mini pruning saw. I loved mine so much I'm gifting this one.
It cuts 4-5" limbs without a stutter and sips battery. I can use it one handed and feed limbs into it for kindling, or dispatch cardboard boxes for the recycle bin. I'm still finding uses for this little gem.
Finally had to replace the chain. It handled 3/4" plywood no sweat, until it ran into an embedded nail. Stay away from nails and screws, and this is golden.

This tool worked well for trimming up low branches on my pine trees. Was able to cut 4inch limbs with no problem using a 3ah battery.

I got the Pruning Mini Chainsaw as a bonus with a battery purchase. I have used it a few times and so far, it works great. I have cut some 3" branches, but not sure how it will work on larger branches. Nice, compact saw for the small stuff.

Works as expected. Chain guard is annoying. There is no oil so you have to constantly spray the chain while using. At least with no oil capacity there are no oil leaks on the floor.

Hello, John - We are sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your chainsaw chain! This issue may be related to chain stretching. (Before replacing the bar, chain, or adjusting the chain tension, stop the motor, wait for all moving parts to stop, disconnect from the power supply or remove the battery pack. Also, wear protective gloves.) All new chains will stretch during the first 20 minutes or so of use. So, when you are using a new chain, you will have to re-tighten the chain every 5-10 minutes or the first 20 minutes to get your chain to the right tension. This happens because new chains have not been heated up before, so when they heat up on the saw they stretch. After you get about 20 minutes of use on the chain, it will not stretch or shrink, and you will only have to check the tension before starting a project. We hope this helps! The tool was good, but I Also ordered a combo of 2 batteries and a charger. One of the batteries will not charge up. Only one of them would charge.

Useful for small branches where you don't want to lug out the bigger saw. Used it several times. It seems to cut well. The only thing I didn't like was that the chain tension loosened up too easily and the chain came off. The knob to tension it is easy to use, but it doesn't seem to hold the tension that well. Still useful, but watch the tension.
