Exact Replacement for a failed solenoid
My sprinkler system is approaching 18 years old. Not surprisingly, components are starting to fail. One solenoid did not close, so one of my zones was running constantly. Replacing the solenoid solved the problem.

I installed the replacement solenoid and it worked. However,...
I installed the replacement solenoid and it worked. However, there was a slight leak at the joint to the valve. After consultation with Rainbird and checking the new part, the "O" ring on the new part was missing. I used the "O" ring off the old solenoid and stopped the leak. An unhappy incident!!

Easily repair, don’t replace!
My valve stopped working and I thought I was going to have to replace the whole valve. But all I had to do was replace the solenoid that activates the valve. Real easy. Only hand tight. Also, if that doesn’t fix the problem, there is a replacement kit for the valve so long as the valve body is not damaged.
