Ordered two sets, one came completly damaged. Replaced and the replacement came damaged, replaced again for the third time and it was also damaged. Packaging is substandard. Will not be buying this product again.

We just installed this beautiful shower kit. It was installed by our Plumber because he had to relocate the water lines since we removed the existing bath tub. We didn't feel qualified to do that ourselves. The Plumber said it fit the opening perfectly and he had it installed in a couple of hours. We are very happy with the results.

This was my 6th time ordering a shower from Home Depot and finally I received an unbroken one. Home Depot did compensate me well after I finally received a good one, so I have no complaints. The customer service reps on the phone were fantastic! My plumber installed it over the weekend, all went smoothly. I replaced the old one with the same model which I am really happy that Sterling still made. It is well built. I updated the coloring in my bathroom from bisque to white so I had to replace the unit which was over 10 yrs old. I highly recommend this model.

Very good cross grid support under the pan, our last on had none. Do to it going in as a replacement, I had a nightmare of a time dealing with existing lousy construction, (bowed walls, weirdly spaced studs, and insane drain design). The ensemble went together fairly easily itself once we got it into the space. My biggest complaint was the lack of QA on cleaning up the pieces when they came out of the mold. The daughter and I spent a good 45 minutes to an hour cleaning up the edges and ensuring the clip together areas were clean and usable. The shelves are much smaller than they appear and are not very handy for a shower of this size. the wife cannot get all her stuff on "her shelves" so I will have to see if I can find some extra storage items that can be attached.

Shower is very nice. exactly what we were hoping for. looks very nice and really dressed up our bathroom for the remodel. we had a tough decision on this or tile but the upkeep and clean up of this shower is hard to beat. it is well made/sturdy , functional, and looks great. we did have a back panel that was cracked on delivery. Home Depot took care of everything. I will not shop anywhere else Home Depot has been fantastic . Thanks.

This shower kit was easy to install and very durable. I did find like a model kit there is flashing that should be lightly sanded off so it goes together without problems. If I need to get a shower kit in the future will go with Sterling.

Was easy to assemble and install. My contractor was impressed with the quality.

I am very pleased with the way this shower base looks. I especially like that the floor is textured and not slippery.

Short story: DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!! Have been trying to get a undamaged/uncracked one for almost a year now!!! Long story: We ordered this product last August for our new bathroom remodel, it came in cracked/damaged three times over a couple of months before we finally got one that seemed ok and got put in our shower walls/bathroom. BUT a few months later the base of the shower cracked from what they said must of been a hairline crack that we hadn't seen before installing it, probably from being damaged while being shipped. So Home Depot sent someone out to try and repair it, but after this poor man trying and spending three hours to try and fix it, we got into the shower and it immediately cracked again. Sooooo we then ordered another one in February and have still been waiting to get one... Its May! It has come in cracked three more times, and NOW the vendor( aka: Sterling) has said they are backordered for the next few months... Home Depot has tried to be accommodating but we made our bathroom shower walls specifically to fit this shower insert and now we cannot find another one with the same size/specs to fit our bathroom and are stuck trying to get one of these. It has been a nightmare. We should have spent the extra money and tiled, but we were trying to go the easier/cheaper route with this product. We now have invested all this time and money into this product/process and are trying to get our money back and figure out what to do now... If it was shipped more carefully and packaged better then maybe the company wouldn't lose so much money on broken ones and unhappy customers. I never write negative reviews, but this one had to be written to save others from having this horrible experience. :(

I installed the shower base as the instructions in an inch and a 1/2 of mortar about 2 weeks later it cracked don't know how to fix it don't know how to get it out of the place where it is it's a total loss

Almost everything is sturdier than expected. Great deal for the money and looks great. Do not tear out the old shower until the pieces are home and inspected. I had the same issues with the cracked edge with the first one I ordered but this looks like it Home Depot's error when they brought it out to be on a drywall cart and it was cracked where they had it resting on the bar. Wish they would make the edges thicker like the rest of the product.

It was ok once I finally purchased a new back wall after getting several delivered broken! Very disappointed in online purchases from Home Depot. Only purchase anything in store and inspect!

Caution!!! I ordered twice recently for my "only one" bathroom. There are cracks on the top of the back wall! I noticed there are some reviews mentioning the same issue. I should have trusted them. I've went to my friend's home to shower for 2 weeks. This issue hasn't been solved. It's NOT fixable. I'm so disappointed. Let's wait and see.

I was replacing a tub unit in my mother's bathroom because she has become disabled. This shower unit was the perfect dimensions and has places to put soap and shampoo and a place to put up your feet for washing. I read the reviews and liked what was said about the texture and assembly. Several of the reviews mentioned cracks and other blemishes, but I didn't worry about that. When mine came, it had a puncture in the top of the back unit which looked like a nail hole. By the time we noticed it, it was installed with the shower head, etc. I called Kohler and they sent a very capable lady to fix the spot and you would never know it had been marred. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I am happy with the unit and we'll see how it wears. Overall, I'm happy with it.

I also had to go through three backwalls to get one that wasn't flawed. The first one had a finish flaw (chipping and peeling section) that looked like an air bubble from the factory. The second one was smashed in shipping. The third one had the corner of the box smashed and had two small cracks in an inconspicuous section of the back and I accepted it as I was done sitting around with a torn up bathroom. Sterling's packaging is utterly terrible and they really need to do something about this. Home Depot was good to work with. They shipped me as many units as I needed until I got a good one. Each one took about 3 business days to arrive, which is pretty good all things considered. The kit itself is nice. Easy to install. Solid and stable. No caulk except in two small places - places you'll never have to scrape and re-caulk. It's lightweight, one normal person can install it if need be. The instructions are basic but acceptable. I used a mortar bed and it doesn't creak at all. I used one 50 lb bag, and it was almost not enough so I recommend two 50 lb bags. I also put some thin plastic down first on the osb subfloor, to help with a future demo and to help the mortar cure without the osb sucking out all of the moisture. We're using a shower curtain and it works fine. You have to put a little attention towards managing the plastic liner, but it's not hard. The lip is large enough to make it easy. We replaced a whirlpool tub with this, and its dimensions made it basically fill the space. This shower kit is nice and large. I'm a big person and it's spacious. I had to remove drywall because the walls attach to the studs, but you also need to remove about two inches above the edge because the wall pieces slide down and lock into the backwall. I hung some new drywall pieces around it, then used a coat of setting compound to fill the gap and cover the flange, then used mesh tape and another coat of hot mud over the flange, and finished and feathered with all purpose compound. It was relatively easy.

The shower looks great and we love it. Like many of the other reviews, ours arrived broken and we had to wait a few weeks for the replacement to be processed and shipped. I am a DIY homeowner and I was able to install it without professional help.

I was very impressed with the quality of this shower kit. Installation was straight forward with the only "complicated" thing in my particular home being leveling for the bottom due to the nature of older homes. (evident in the attached photo) Once that was accomplished, the process was fast and easy. I liked that there was minimal caulking required...just a small bead at the very front of the unit where the doors will be mounted. I do wish there were more door options for this size...Kohler only has a slider and it would have been nice to have a hinged door with a stationary panel available so the opening could be wider for more comfortable entry and exit.

I am so happy I bought this shower kit now that it's installed. It's beautiful and perfect with the corner shelves to have soap, shampoo, etc. at your finger tips. The finish is white and smooth and will be easy to keep clean and shinning! The shower pan has a low threshold to make it easy to step over yet deep enough to keep the shower curtain inside to prevent water from splashing the bathroom floor. The pan is also textured to help prevent you from slipping and sliding while showering. I added white grab bars on all 3 walls for safety and they look like they are part of the whole assembly.

Came damaged and Home Depot said it was out of stock, pick something else

Unit came damaged twice. After second damaged unit customer canceled job.

Waited 2 weeks for this to arrive to the store for pickup and when it finally arrived, the flimsy cardboard box was all tore up. We opened it up at the store and found the shower base cracked in several places. Now waiting another 2 weeks for them to ship another set. Hopefully it will arrive undamaged but I'm not holding my breath...Very poor packaging/handling.
