Have the same setup and had to modify the Rear Socket. I have face frame cabinets with the same 23.5 depth and 20 drawer and used the 22" long Slides. Got the Kreg Install Jig to install these (Highly Recommend) so I know it was all installed correctly. I installed a horizontal 2x4 on the back of the Cabinet for the Slide Sockets. Got it all installed, went to slide the drawer in and it got about 2" away and just stopped. PROBLEM was the back of the Drawer was hitting the inside part of both sockets. A 24" rail is too long and a 23"er was not available so I had to get creative. I just took a hacksaw and sliced off the Inside Plastic portions of the Socket. Drawer goes all the way in now and works perfect. Disappointing that HD offers parts like this. BTW - a 23" Slide (if avaiable) may have worked if the Socket is mounted directly to the cabinet. If I just removed the 2x4 from inside the cabinet and used the 22" glides, there was not enough engagement with the Socket....it only went in about a 1/8" and I didn't trust that so got creative with Depot's Socket. :>)

Just use cleats to build up the sides of your cabinet to be flush with the inner edge of the 1x2 facing.

Can someone explain how to mount with these brackets since the rear bracket interferes sign the rear 2” of the drawer?

Had the same problem and had to Cut the Inside Potion of the Plastic Sockets so the drawer would slide in all the way. I used Kreg Jig to install so I know that the rails were correct. Here's pics of the contact point and another of how I cut the Plastic socket. Drawers work great, but this is just a bad design.

Rear socket too obtrusive. Prevents drawer from fully closing
I have 23-1/2 inch deep cabinet, so I bought the 22 inch full extension ball bearing slide set and the Face frame socket set. When the slide is mounted to the front opening of the cabinet (with the socket adapter front piece), the back of the slide only fits (about) 1/4 " into the rear socket adapter. This gave me no confidence as a long term, reliable and sturdy solution, so I screwed in a 3/4" piece of board to move the rear socket forward so the slide would fit into the socket deeper. However, when I put the drawer on the slides and pushed it in, the drawer would not close all of the way. It turns out the drawer was bumping the rear socket. These sockets are too bulky. I think they were made as they are since they are plastic. I expect if you mount the slide piece (C) that on the bottom of the drawer, or if you a comfortable with only 1/4" of support from the rear socket, then this solution might work, but the limits of the product are not articulated anywhere. If have shelving units with plastic mount pieces break after about 18 years (under a static load). You cannot rely on small amounts of plastic to hold up over the years. It just seems to get brittle. This frame adapter concept needs to be made from metal so it provides a sturdy solution for ALL mount situations that a consumer may need.

This face frame socket set is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t even slide back my cabinet drawer all the way without it getting in the way. I had to modify it by cutting off half of it with a dremel. See the following link for a demonstration of how I went about resolving this: youtu.be/Sw9719em-Ww I have no idea how this is supposed to work with a regular drawer that you’re upgrading to soft closing... The directions were pretty straight forward, but didn’t cover this sort of situation. They need to come out with a similar version that they have with the European version of the slides (non-ball bearing side mounts) where the slide is exposed on one half. Would resolve the problem

Same exact issue as others stated 2 years ago
Still the same issue. These don’t work! Your cabinet drawer hits these brackets before it can fully close. Where is the re-engineering bracket?

Plastic set for drawer slides
Easy install! I just installed my first drawer slides. I am currently doing a kitchen makeover which includes replacing the drawers. I ordered 24” slides and built the 22” depth drawers to compensate for the rear slide holder. I am very pleased with the ease of installation.

Work Great In Certain Conditions
I've read through several of the one-star reviews and wanted to share a bit of advice regarding these sockets. First of all, you must have enough clearance from the back of the cabinet to the back of the drawer for this socket to work. Here is my situation, and they worked perfectly: Cabinet depth from front edge of face frame to back of cabinet: 23" Drawer box depth from back of drawer face to back of the drawer box: 20" Drawer glide size: 22" These sockets were much simpler to use than the metal type that slide over the outer edge of the glides. If you don't have the clearance for the plastic sockets, you will need to use the metal type brackets to mount the glides to the rear of the cabinet. Another option would be to create filler boards to allow the brackets to side mount. I considered this approach, but on most of my double cabinets, there is nothing to mount to in the center. I say they are easier to use, but why is that? For the glides that are installed along the sides of the cabinet (not the inner glides on a double cabinet), the flanges on the socket are the exact width to ensure the glide is properly aligned. Simply place the edge of the flange against the side of the cabinet and secure it with screws. Keep in mind that the optimal glide size is one that matches the depth of your drawer boxes. This will ensure that the fully extended drawer opens to the drawer depth with no over or under extension. Because I needed longer glides than the depth of my drawer boxes, the drawers over extend by a couple of inches if fully opened. Not a big issue, but don't be shocked by this after you install the glides.

blocks drawer from closing
as others have reported, this backwall socket doesn't work as designed unless you use guides that are at least a couple of inches longer than the drawer depth. I had to cut a notch as shown.
