was great while it worked, but suddenly it started to make a loud noice when spinning. broken bearing, more expensive to fix than to get a new one. sad to see a perfectly good looking machine end up in a landfield. would have been ok with there was any sort of warrantly offered on the very expensive repair.

The washer exploded before 2 years of normal use.

I had a feeling this was going to be a problem since some power unit and the gasket around the door broke after 2 years of hardly being used. Now one of the cards is bad and needs to be replaced. Too expensive to have it serviced so will try to buy the part and fix it myself. Customer Service from HD and Samsung was helpful but still angry that unit is failing after 4.5 years of light usage.

I hate this washer so much. I will never buy a front load washer again. If I knew how many issues I would have with a washer I would not have purchased it. We've had it two years and it is the biggest pain. It's consistently getting an error, especially when I wash blankets and towels. I don't even have to the fill the drum very much to get an error. It takes a long time to clear the error and makes so much noise. If I could throw it out a window, I would. It also must be washed out constantly to prevent smelling and if you leave a load of wet clothes in for even a couple hours you have to rewash them.

I bought this washer 10 yrs ago. I’ve had it repaired twice, but what’s worse is all the rust that began just a few years into owning it. I’ve never seen anything like this on a new washer!! I finally just replaced this and the dryer because the dryer broke last week. Bought LG since they are rated #1 by customers. I promised myself I would take the time to warn others, so I am adding this review and pictures.

Three years I bought it and the drain has been damaged 2 times.

The Cycle Selector Indicators (the words Normal, Delicate, Perm Press, etc) are coming off after less than one year of use. As the cycle names continue to rub off, I won't know what mode I'm selecting to properly choose the necessary wash type. I have been very gentle and the only thing that has touched these words are my fingertips and possibly an occasional drip of detergent. So unless you want to guess at what cycle you're selecting for your fabric needs, I wouldn't recommend this machine. I suppose I'll have to get out my label stickers and Sharpie marker. I expected this machine to be user-friendly for many years to come, which includes being able to see what cycles I need to select without having a tacky handwritten look. I think that this machine does a good job of washing but Samsung needs to use a paint/ink that doesn't come off with typical use. This is a common problem among owners in online forums yet Samsung claims no responsibility for this issue.

If i could give this 0 stars i would I bought this washer and dryer, at first it worked great no problems. then on the 3rd week, the 4th load of laundry i ever did, the rubber gasket around the door got stuck to the door, and tore a hole in the bottom of the gasket, causing the washer to pour all the water on the floor when in use. It flooded the laundry room, and destroyed the new floor i just put in there. Samsumg has run me in circles to try to get it fixed. These washers are crap, DO NOT BUY THEM.!!!!!

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Clothes are clean. Based on other reviews with moisture related problems, I plan on keeping the door open between washes to let it dry out. No small children here to worry about getting in it.

Awesome washer. It is amazing I had some stains my old washer didn’t remove it. I recommend this washer.

Once the washer is out of the box, and the water & power are hooked up. And you run the calibration mode as instructed in the user manual, It works like a dream.

Too little water makes my clothes still seem dirty. It takes entirely too long to wash and I'm wondering how that makes it energy efficient. This washer and the dryer that goes with it sucks!

This review is for the precursor Samsung front load washer, since they have upgraded model numbers. I bought the WF36J4000AW/A2 with the matching dryer in July 2015. It was delivered and sat in a box for a year at the same location as where it was installed. We were happy with the unit or so we thought. On May 10, 2019, I tried to wash a load. No error code. The unit cut on for a few seconds, chimed and hasn't cut on since. We have done all trouble shooting. We have called authorized service. They have not called back. The one that did call back said sounds like a bad capacitor, with service fees and parts, I should go and buy a new unit. Really? This unit is in a second home, we estimate on the high end that maybe 100 loads have been done in 3 years. All I can say is WARNING, it is hard to find repair persons for Samsung. I have called 3 places, only one call back. Needless to say, I am not happy. My husband is not happy. Someone earlier in the review said Samsung sucks. They are right. JD Power is not right when it comes to longevity and satisfaction. I need to win $1k, so I can buy a new washer. If you do buy a Samsung, buy the longest warranty available. I had a three year. Year one was wasted sitting in the box, my bad. Wish I had 5 years, but it if I did, it still wouldn't get repairmen to return the call. Save money... buy something other than Samsung.

I love my new washer!

I loved this washer for the first year. Then it started repeating the spin cycle and would often run for 4-10 hours on a single load. Doing some research on the web proved that this was a common problem and that Samsung would not back their product nor provide a solution for this issue. After identifying a couple of possible solutions it became clear that it would be a better move to replace this 1-1/2 year old washer with a different brand. I could hope that I guessed correctly and paid for either the $300 or the $250 suggested repair or end up doing both and find out neither worked. I had bought the unit on sale for $500, so really did not feel good about doubling the price in hopes of getting it working again. My previous Maytag worked for $25 years and I only replaced it to get a newer high efficiency model. In retrospect, that was not a good decision. It will be a long time before I purchase another Samsung product.

What a piece of garbage. The lettering is coming off a few months after my purchase. Home Depot cannot do anything about it so I contacted Samsung. They saw this is not covered under my warranty and is considered "cosmetic" and due to "maintenance".... meaning, it is MY fault. I am amazed. I had my last wash machine for 13 1/2 years and never had any problem like this. To actually blame the customer and say, without asking, if I somehow used something to make the lettering come of is insulting. I use non-chemical based products and have not needed to clean the machine because it is in the garage and therefore I do not clean as I clean my other appliances, plus, I got it a few months ago! I am so mad about this. Pretty soon I will not be able to see what setting to select.

It was professionally installed and I am very happy with it.

There is a reason is low price. I’m just gonna tell my experience. This is the second time they have had to deliver this washer , the first time all of the black panel area where the buttons are was sunken in, (if that is the correct word) even the start and power button. It looked horrible. They had to exchange it. The second one that they brought has the same issue but less noticeable. So please be ware when purchasing this washer. Samsung is just going down hill lately, I have a tv that turns off by itself. Not what it used to be.

This is a great washer. I also purchased the Samsung dryer and both appliances are just outstanding. The washer is quiet, has large capacity and many options for water temperature, wash time, load size, etc. Doing laundry can be fun!

Bought the Samsung WF42H5000 model at Home Depot in May 2016, it broke November 2017. Out of the 1 year warranty period, but we called Samsung warranty center since some parts might be covered. the warranty center was a lot of red tape; they assigned us a repair center that was horrible (E-Fix), never showed up, never called us back, or when they did the message was so garbled we could not decipher who it was (caller Id help us figure it out). So we ended up hiring another local authorized repair shop to come out and diagnose the machine (Controller board), but it was like pulling teeth to get Samsung to issue the part. They would not send it to us directly, and had such a hard time reassigning the "work ticket) to Mr. Appliance. We survived the month and half with out a working maching, only because our old whirlpool washer was still working (16 years old and going strong). My take away from this is that Samsung SUCKS! they don't stand behind there appliances and their appliances don't last long.

Great product cleans well

Basic functionality. Quiet. Very efficient. Spins at high speed which gets most of the water out. Have had it for half a month. Like it and recommend it but wish it had a white’s cycle.
