So great, we bought 2 sets! Only thing I would add is it will not fit a security door without modification, but I made it work!

I just had this deadbolt lock with keypad and optional lock installed by my locksmith. The lock on my garage door was a simple doorknob lock that was not very strong. I never liked leaving my garage door up with only that lock. My new lock has a deadbolt which feels much more secure. I replaced the old doorknob with the handle that came with the new lock. It feels very secure and I much prefer a handle when coming in from the garage with my arms full. I like having the option to lock/unlock the door with a key too. It has back lighting when you touch it.

Great lock… had my last one for 10 years and left with the house I sold

This is one of the crappiest products I’ve ever purchased. We put this on our gate about 2 years ago and just take a look at the photos to see what it looks like now. The finish is completely peeling off, buttons are cracking, and one has fallen off. Every time it rains the lock stops working. Schlage will not honor their supposed “lifetime warranty” and replace the product, even with a receipt. Total JUNK

Had to get use to it but love not looking in my bag for keys

The lock stopped working after one day of use. After entering the code the lock continues to freely spin and not work. I should have read the many, many reviews all saying this device stops working. What a waste of my time and money. This is a piece of junk I wouldn't wish on even my worst enemy. Absolutely terrible product.

The first time I tried to install it, it did not work. I had to return and do an exchange. 2nd time is the charm. Easy installation. Easy to use. Love it.

I love this deadbolt! It looks great, works great and was easy to install. I wish there was an option to have it automatically lock when you leave (similar to the Schlage Keypad Electronic handle) but it is just a matter of training the kids to push a button and turn the knob when they leave. I have a storm door and there is no problem with the lever or the unit impeding the storm door closing.

I recently moved and purchased this lock set for the second time for my new home. I had it at my previous home for 6 years. In those 6 years I never had a problem and it looked as good after 6 years as it did when I put it in. Adding and removing codes is simple and really convenient if you have someone you'd like to give access to your house (e.g. pet-sitter) so you don't have to hide keys or make duplicates. I found installation a little challenging but it was my first time installing something like this so it required lots of patience and looking at the instructions several times. During my second installation I referred to a youtube video of the installation and it made installation so much easier. Overall have been really pleased with the set and feel it's well worth the money.

Was easy to install and program

This is my second Schlage Camelot keypad lock. I moved my older door to garage entrance keypad to the front door where it was a standard dead bolt. I changed from Brass to Nickel in the garage. I know I should have changed the brass, but I just didn't want to change all of the hardware to an updated finish on the front door (storm door, door knocker, handles, etc.) This unit is a little bulky and clunky looking but I think it's a little more practical than the ones that don't have the manual turn knob. I love the convenience of not have to use keys and the quick locking when exiting. I wish Schlage had the Re-Key feature that Kwikset has. I wish it allowed for more codes. The Schlage lever handle matches the HD Defiant lever handles for my interior doors seamlessly.

Schlage just makes the best locks and so easy to install, which is a good thing because the directions are horrible. There is a little disk on the inside that must be turned to the bottom or door doesn't lock properly. you think it is locked but just hit the schlage button and it opens. VERY important and not clearly noted! however we called for assistance and someone helped. We got my parents a set ans well. Its classy, well built, easy to use & program. Really a great lock. I love Schalge (just rewrite instructions)

Looks and works great

Perfect for light use commercial applications. Keeps areas secure, while allowing easy access to those authorized individuals. Simple installation, even in pre-existing lock locations.

My mother-in-law has this type of lock on all of the doors on her home, and we loved it so much that we got it for ours too! Typing in a short code is so much more convenient than having to use a key! It installed very easily -- only took my husband about 10 minutes. To set a new code is very simple. Just follow the instructions included in the package. It also looks very nice and modern. I would highly recommend to others!

It is a new and great experience not to have keys to worry about, simply hit the schalage button and turn the lock and off you go. When coming home just enter the pre programed combination or one which you can simply program to the numbers you want. The number pad is easy to push and fast, no more fumbling with keys. The door handle that comes with it is first class and comes in a variety of finishes. You won;t be sorry if you purchase this as it makes life a lot easier and no more hiding keys. You can give different codes to people for a one time use then simply erase it so it won;t function with that number again. Very convienent way to lock your house and some insurance companies give a discount for having deadbolts on your door as they are much stronger. Very simple to install and program besides being elegant looking.

As an economical alternative to the more expensive units, I have installed several of these locks, both inside and out in commercial applications. Two deadbolts are on outside gates. One latch style is on another outside gate Two latch style are used for washroom access Five latch style are used for private offices, conference room etc. Batteries last a very long time, but make sure you keep the key someplace else in the event the battery does die. However, the lock will give you an indication that the battery needs changing. I am very happy with these locks and are now going to purchase more of them.

I have always trusted Schlage as the quality has always been there. Unfortunately, this one stopped working a little after 2 years. The outside knob just spins after entering the code. I even entered the code, pushed Schlage followed by 7 per the instructions and nothing! The battery is new. How do I send this back for warranty when it's installed? What do I put in its place? I can't even look up my purchase on Home Depot since it goes passed the 25 months they show on their site! Frustrating!
