Normally like Scotts products but my last bag (4/20) had solid clumps in it that I couldn't break...
Normally like Scotts products but my last bag (4/20) had solid clumps in it that I couldn't break up. More than the picture shows. Probably wasted about 500 sq. feet worth. I don't mind the breakable clumps as long as there's not too many. I actually took a pic and sent it to Scotts, no response.

Turf builder with Halts
Bought recently and applied May 7th. Not pleased with the large hard chunks in the bag. Had to break up and problems plugging the spreader. Photo shows condition after breaking up some chunks.

Weeds all over
I laid down this product in early spring as well as Scotts WeedEx prevent with Halts in the fall. My yard has never looked this bad. I've been using Scotts products for over 15 years. The past couple of years have been disappointing. Neither of my next door neighbors have these types of weeds. You used to see a clear barrier between lawns, with mine being the best. Not anymore.

Home Depot did a great job of delivering the product which I had ordered on line. I would have rated everything a five star except I did encounter a small issue when I applied the fertilizer to my yard, there were clumps in the fertilizer which wouldn't flow through the broadcast spreader until I 'gloved up' and manually crushed the lumps (some of which were softball size). Not sure this has anything to do with Home Depot it may be more to do with how long the product was sitting around before sale. I would repurchase the same thing from Home Depot again and I appreciated the delivery service very much.
We had a freak snow storm two days after I applied the Scotts Turf Builder with Crabgrass Preventer to my yard. :)

My lawn was scraggly and weedy. I used this product and now my lawn is beautiful and green with very few weeds left. The crabgrass is almost all gone, too! I love my yard again! I wish I had a BEFORE picture and you could see how thin the grass was and how much bermuda and crabgrass there was! It gets so hot here and it doesn't rain; so our grass gets beaten up! I hope this is the way it can look all summer!

worth the $$$
Two years ago my lawn was nothing but dirt and crabgrass. After aerating, seeding and applying the winter guard product last fall, I applied this product a few weeks ago (I live in the Northeast) and I have the greenest lawn on the block. If you don’t follow the directions and apply improperly you are wasting your money.

You’re gonna need a bigger mower...
Bermuda grass / Dallas Tx. / Clay soil. Apply twice; six weeks apart. Water thoroughly and with more dry days in between than you are normally comfortable with. It’s hard to break that frequent drenching habit, but I think it’s key. Raise mower cutting height. Get more HP on your mower or go slower.

Don’t use!
If I could give this product ZERO stars.....I would. I am not new at caring for my lawn as I have been doing it myself over 20 years using Scott’s products. . Had some crabgrass In my large lawn last year so I decided to use the product for the first time this year. Followed all the directions......and now I have more crabgrass than lawn. My lawn looks terrible and is the worst lawn in our 7 house development. (It always was pristine - now I have more crabgrass than the other 6 houses combined!)

Year After Year Works Great!
I put this down every Spring right before my first mow when the temp is regularly above 50 degrees for daytime highs. Every year it doesn't disappoint! My lawn has been crabgrass and weed free every since I've used this. Great product!!!

Scott’s southern law food
This product works great. After adjusting ph this spring and corrected soil with 10-10-10 my soil tests indicated that I needed a good does of nitrogen and some potassium. This product was applied as the directions on the bag indicated and watered in with 1/2 in of water. After about a week the color of the lawn deepened. The yard also seemed to thicken. My tall fescue loved this product. Will buy in the future.

Horrible Product with Lot of wet clumps
I bought this products a couple of weeks ago from HD along with late spring application pack, it was a nightmare to work with from the moment I opened the bag. If at all possible avoid this nightmare and buy something different. The moment I opened the bag I could tell that it would be impossible to apply looking at the clumps it had, what surprised me was they were wet and solidified like rocks. It never passed thru the applicator with getting blocked every 5 seconds. I would highly recommend to stay away from this product.

Have had this applied for 2 weeks now. Temperatures have been cool, but have had both sun and rain. Whether or not it prevents crabgrass or not will have to wait, but expected it to green more and start growing, but that has not happened yet. For the price would expect better results.

I am totally disappointed. This was the last bag out in garden section back in a corner. I brought it, got it home and opened it to find what looked to be some damp and some dry granules. I thought it would be ok but clogged in my spreader. I wasted time and money and because I used/ wasted half the bag I felt I couldn't return it.
