I cleaned the pipe with ajax till it was nothing but copper then insert It and it worked. no leaks.

Love this product. I installed a replacement tub/ shower faucet and didn’t want to solder in the wall. The sharkBikes worked well with no leak issues.

Great product easy to use. I noticed the weakness is the plastic seal insert in the throat. It is damaged easily and can be challenging to get it started. Beyond that great product.

I believe that this product is next level thinking. You should offer a variety of options like this product.

it is good for a quick fix and Perminate fix, and if you mess up just use the tool to pop apart and reconnect, it is a little pricey but for small fixes it is OK. I took out a water softener and repaired the line with shark bite.

Be careful to not put Sharkbite fittings under lateral pressure (Don't bend a copper pipe to fit) because it will eventually fail. I've replaced three that were leaking due to improper installation.

This is the simplest plumbing product to use for any DIY homeowner. No soldering, no open flame, no leaks...they are awesome!!

Worked like a charm. Had to replace a section of leaking copper pipe in a tight space. This allowed me to reach behind the wall to make the connection with minimal need to remove additional sheetrock. Pricey, but quick and easy, and less costly overall when considering the minimal demolition.

These things are incredible. Prep for a new washer and dryer turned up crappy builder pluming work. I hate sweat plumbing, and I stink at it, so it was the last thing I wanted to do. I decided to try these fittings and I am thrilled with the results. Couldn't be happier. I fed them into an Apollo Tectite box, and it was slick as could be. It was my first experience with compression fittings, and I'll say this- Once you press them in tight, press them again. That is not directed at the SharkBite fittings- I'm saying that about all compression fittings. Give them one more firm press....

So easy to install, an untrained novice like me completed the repair in minutes! No soldering tools or materials needed. Most importantly was the fact that I didn't need to worry about the safety issue of trying to use a lighted torch in a close quarters sutuation.

Love this product, it's so simple to use and it seems to be a stable job enhancement for near impossible or really tight places that you can't normally use the materials you were using to connect lines! The only reason I didn't give it a five-star was because of the price, they are costly. I've used these in years past and they really hold up having no item replacements or leaks. I'm sold on them!

Great product for repairing pinhole leaks that develop in older copper pipes. As soon as I get around to it, going to buy some to have them at home for the next time it happens. From the way that I understand I can also use these for PEX pipe to copper joining, and I'll probably start that transition the next time.

I read about these and thought surely it cant be that easy, but it was!! I used them to connect 1/2 copper rough in roman tub valve to end of copper water supply

Never used them before I'm a soldier and copper pipe kinda guy. Buy I had a job and the home owner wanted a washer on the first floor and wanted to use cheap plastic pipe. So I had to use the shark bite turns out I like them it went very fast and very easy to use I will try and use them in the future. Hope they last as long as copper dose

I used two of these to install two Sioux Chief mini water hammer arresters (see attached photo). While the arresters could be soldered onto the pipe directly, I read reviews about how overheating could destroy the plastic piston insider the arrester. This SharkBite coupling eliminated that risk and installed very quickly and easily. I was able to easily remove the arresters later by using the removal tool. I would highly recommend using this SharkBite coupling for easy installation.

This revolutionary product has completely changed the world of plumbing and saved me hundreds of dollars by allowing me to complete projects that I would have balked at previously.  I have never been good at sweating pipes; the process involves endless wasting of solder, frustration, a lousy looking end product and my wife usually calling me names and telling me I should have just hired a plumber. Thank you SharkBite, vindication has finally arrived and it has done so in the form of your products.  These products collapse the time requirement, assure a consistently great finished result, and as a bonus make the seal easily removed in the event you need to perform maintenance or additional work.   I don't have enough good things to say about this product.  I used three of these 3/4" couplings recently while replacing a filtration system in my basement.  I have a two-system water filtration set-up off my well pump and I used them to connect the filters together as well as to the main 3/4" line.  They were incredibly easy to install, just shut-off the water and remove a two inch section of line and then click these into place.  They are durable, well-constructed, and effective.  I have removed them twice now to modify the system and they are as easy to remove and reinstall as they were initially.  Previously this project would have taken me a few hours, but thanks to SharkBite it took 30 minutes and as a bonus my wife not only complimented the appearance but indicated she was impressed with how fast I had it accomplished. Magnitudes better than solder and worth every penny, I will use SharkBite products for projects in the future.  In fact these are so useful, I keep a few various sizes on hand just in case.

I used this fitting recently as part of a new plumbing assembly in my laundry room. I used PEX piping and had no leaks. Instructions say the tubing should go in an inch, I found they go in about .8" or so. Although a bit pricey, these fittings and PEX made easy work. It took me an hour and a half to complete the job. From the photo, all I had left was securing the drop ear elbows for the clothes washer valves.

In the installation of a Shower Panel, part of this involved joining the existing hot and cold PEX line that connects into the old shower mixing valve into CPVC ends. Seeing as how you can't glue PEX, this fitting was my only solution. I've used SharkBite fittings before, so I know how to prepare the ends of the line. After using this fitting, I now have a snug, secure, water tight connection. Extremely satisfied, and Highly Recommended.

I followed the instructions to a tee and all went well. I've been periodically checking the coupling for sweating or leaks. All dry and holding. I'm a bit nervous on how the device can still turn on the copper pipe but it's doing what you guaranteed.

I started using these about 3 years ago. These are perfect when you don't want to have heat near a fixture or valve. I know enough to open valves when soldering, however all it takes is one time of heating a little too much, and one gets a little gun shy.

I had to move a water supply line to install a new toilet. I found the Sharkbite range of products and I am so impressed I tried to see if I could buy stock in the company. (I don't think they are public.) I cut the existing pipe, smoothed off the cut end with the orange sharkbite tool and then slipped this coupling on. I ran PEX tubing up through the floor to the bathroom above. Each item just pushes on in place and not a drop of water came out when we switched the water supply back on. Perfect!

I was very impressed with the ease of insulation on this coupler. Great product for the money.
