Great product easy to install

Recently upgraded my home panel. Purchased all new breakers and panel from the homeline series. After installation went awesome I decided to get another homeline product, the surge protector. This did not feel heavy duty like any of the other Items, felt very light and cheap. It just would not go on the panel. Used a flashlight got everything lined up and applied pressure. It broke. Contacts went cock-eyed and would now shove in the housing. All other homeline products I bought were good but this. Took pictures but don't see an upload button on my phone

First of all I like the homeline PON panels. When I change panels for customers, I always install the neutral right below the breaker it goes with - then after I trace the circuits and determine which breakers need AFCI breakers, the neutral is right there where I need it. I honestly don't know if the surge protector works as advertised, but I ALWAYS install it for my customers' ease of mind - it might one day save their expensive refrigerator or range from a power surge. Everything has sensitive electronics in it these days, and this is the only way to protect them.

Very easy installation.

The product arrived on time. Easy to install. Just plug it in the panel. The green light is on showing that it is working. I've had no surges so far since this installation. Awesome product.

This is a very convenient way to provide whole house protection against power surges without having to install a separate device external to the home or mounting a device outside the service panel and wire a pigtail connection into the service panel. Does require that the service panel be the Homeline Plug-On Neutral type and have two slots available next to where the incoming power wires are attached to provide maximum protection. Overall a very convenient way to provide a measure of surge protection.

this product was easy to install inside my electrical panel. I hope it works as described. It should give my home surge protection.

This is the first of this particular type of spd that I have installed. It installed just like a breaker in a standard square D home line panel with plug on neutral bar. For the price and level of protection and being square D I believe this is and will be a good product.

Came when it said it would and cost us no downtime during remodel

With having high end appliances and worrying about electrical surges I just had to get this surge protective device. You get an extra insurance policy as your appliances are insured against surges which can damage your electronics. I am not good with electricity so I'm glad there was no wiring involved. Perfect for a DIY like myself. A green light will tell you that you are protected. So far...no problems.

The Homeline Plug-on Neutral Surge Protective Device is a MUST have with todays' expensive electronics, this is designed to protect those devices from power surges which can be destroyed from the power surges. The Homeline Plug-On Neutral Surge Protective Device is easy to install, but if you do not have the expertise do not try to do it yourself hire an Electrician.

Came in about a week as promised. Easy to install as I'm a retired electrician. A little price compared to the ones I purchased back in Orlando. I would buy it again if needed.

For the price of this simple device you could spend lots more money on individual surge protectors throughout your home. Just make sure you have a recent Square D load center (box) for this to fit; you can easily upgrade at Home Depot who carries these inexpensive boxes. No wiring, just have two breaker spaces open and plug it in to those spaces and the single neutral on the neutral bar. Then you can, with peace of mind know that the manufacturer will pay up to $50,000 in any downline appliances, TV, etc. It will take more than a 50,000 amp surge to knock it out. That is real peace of mind in my opinion. Oh yes, it does have an LED indicator to show it is active. 50,000 Amp/phase maximum surge current

I am a homeowner and felt comfortable installing this in my existing breaker panel. If you have ANY doubts about installing this surge suppressor in your panel contact a licenced electrician to have the unit installed. What you get; A surge suppressor that takes two slots in your breaker panel and a very good set of instructions. For the amount of protection this device provides its amazingly simple to install. I won't go into any of the specific install instructions here but it takes much longer to read the directions than it does to install the surge suppressor. Start to finish the install it took me less than 30 minutes to complete. I moved two existing breakers in my panel so the surge protector is in the first breaker location at the top of the panel. Do not replace the main breakers or shut off in the panel. This unit provides protection before any of your equipment can be harmed. I will be a very happy if if the surge suppressor saves any of computer boards or electronics. With all the sensitive electronics today this unit will easily pay for itself in limiting spikes and surges. Fact is, if you have any sensitive electronics in your home or shop you really need to have one of these to help protect your investment. I highly recommend this product for any home, the cost of this surge suppressor is so low compared to the damage an unprotected system can do to your electronics.

I've never seen anything like this before and I thought it would just plug in an outlet. However, It appears that I may need a professional electrician to install it. It states that no wiring is required. It is to be used on "Plug-On Neutral Centers" and it has clip type plugs in the back. I will be researching this device to find out how it is installed.

This product is design to divert a power surge, this is similar to the equipment [carbons] that telephone companies use in their interfaces and inside terminals. Other companies also use similar equipment to divert power surges in their equipment. It is another layer of protection that is not able to be judge until it is needed and if you do not have it already it is too late.

Surge breakers are one of the best ways to provide a good level of surge protection to the electronics in a modern house. Unlike the older hard wired surge suppressors that when they took a surge could not be safely disabled. The breaker style is easy to remove and replace. Additionally they have a green light that indicates they are still providing protection.
