Why is the front completely black? It doesn't show the description like the pictures show on the box. Theres no description at all. If you were to open the panel door you wouldn't know what it is. Is this normal?

Is it required that the SPD go in the top-most/first slot closest to the supply? Or can it go in any available double slots available?
Hi SMRTech, It is not required, but it is a recommendation. The SPD requires two adjacent mounting spaces and should be installed as close to the main circuit breaker, or main lugs as possible. Will it work if installed in a sub-panel?
