Well, I don’t really know yet. I couldn’t figure out how to get the thing apart to mount it to the side of the house. I’ve turned it over to my handyman to do it for me. However, once it is up on the wall, I expect I will like it very much!

Cheap construction, it broke in a day

The hose reel was easy to mount on an exterior wall. The reel actually does hold 100 feet of thick rubber hose. The reel turns smoothly. This is the second time I have bought this reel. It’s a good product.

The O rings leak. It appears to me that it is designed to force the buyer to go for more expensive alternatives.

This is my third reel in 10 years. On the last one the mounting bracket cracked. On the previous one I left the wheel on the mount during the winter and the water connector was damaged.

The feed hose would not stop kinking so I had to use an old washing machine hose line instead

FOLLOW the directions to install. READ the entire manual FIRST! Manual says that a tube of lube is included. NO IT IS NOT and it is not needed. The reel is pre-mounted with the lube already on. Just be careful during installation not to get the lube dirty You MUST remove the reel to do proper installation. Once mounted, this was one of the smoothest and easiest wall mounted reels to wrap my 100 feet of hose on and reasonably priced

This replaced my old one ( the exact same model) that I bought in 2001. 17 years for this plastic model is GREAT ! Nothing to rust. Very easy to install it. Easy to remove the hose and reel for the winter. Made in the USA !

Not very sturdy. Had to reinforce using straps. Would not buy again.

Leaking Water Connection to main hub. Washers, Tightened several times. always leaking water at the hub

The first one I installed leaked. I replaced it after a few days and succeeded to install it with no leaks. After a year leaks began and I could not control it. I am looking now for O rings in hope it will help for a while. In my opinion this is a faulty design. Sealing is provided by 2 O rings in direction vertical to the wall. Thus, pressing into the direction of the wall and using a lock supposes to seal well. However, pulling the hose, which is supposed to be downward is actually a bit sideways weakening the sealing. I also found that the lock is not robust.

As long as it stores the hose & last foe over 20 years as the reel it replaces I'll be happy.

Easy to install, but since the redesign a few years ago... Suncast has lost their engineering way. Even in the photo of this reel, you can see the unbalanced weight of the reel leaning forward. Now give the summer sun a few months to soften it up...and by September, you, as I had, a hose reel that had folded itself down 90 degrees and pulled itself away from the wall. My original design lasted 15+ years, this new design, one season. Do not buy this Suncast model...force Suncast to properly redesign this thing.

This reel has several major problems due to a design change that extended the height of the plastic outlet adapter which causes the super soft hose to right angle when attached. This reduces the flow of water to zero. I had to install a spring surround adapter to get the water to flow. Pure Trash.

This a replacement for a previous model that lasted for over 10 years. Easy to install and keeps your hose neat and accessible. The wall mount saves space over free standing hose reels.

Installed today using upgraded hardware. Leaking from the o ring with no easy fix. Wish I had read the other reviews.

The hose guide on the bottom works well. The mounting holes lined up well with my brick pattern.

it works great for starters only two days installed

Great device - only issue was I had to mount it bit higher than the 3' 9" or standard height as I had not enough wall space - the feed pipe would be in the grass and get cut with edgers. But it installed very well and I like the feeder roller to bring the hose out from the wall at right angles.

THIS IS MY SECOND UNIT, THE FIRST ONE CRACKED IN THREE PLACES.I HAD TO REPLACE THE O RINGS ONCE. I WOULD PREFER A HEAVIER DUTY UNIT. GOOD FOR A FIFTY FOOT HOSE. I NEED A HUNDRED FOOTER, AND IT STRESSES THIS UNIT. SO NOW I USE THE NEW COLLAPSIBLE HOSE THAT CONTRACT WHEN THE WATER DRAINS. I PURCHASED THIS BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY SIDE MOUNT REEL AVAILABLE.

While the design was perfect for what I needed for the location I installed it in but the product has a serious flaw. It leaks from the center O-rings! No matter how much lubrication I put on the O-rings with the supplied lube it wont stop leaking. This is the second one I've installed with the same problem so I plan on returning it soon and looking elsewhere for a product with the same design.

Easy to assemble. You can expect them to last about 3 years. They do hold about 80 feet of hose fairly easily, but 100 ft. of a good quality hose really takes it quite a bit over the outer reel circle. After awhile, the hose connection leaks and you have to reapply some plumbers tape to the fittings, but don't know if I can blame the product for that. I rate the product acceptable/good.

Spend a more and get something better.Been leaking since it was installed.
