We use it in our home to cool it down at night so we can close up on hot summer days in the morning. I bought 1 several years ago, I am a design engineer and appreciated the reliable design of this "shop" fan. My wife hated the color when we got it, but after using it for a couple years, she had no problem buying a second one. The color became insignificant after she saw how well the first one worked. Washers should be added under knobs that tighten to stand, that is my only criticism. They should be sized so the brass insert in the knob bears on the washer, I.E. very little play on the stud on the fan.

This fan moves a lot of air! I'm using it to move heat/air conditioning betweens rooms in my shop. Much more efficient and a lot quieter than the shop fan I was using.

Solid, well-built fan; but for the price, I was expecting a lot more air circulation. In my opinion, definitely not worth $130.

Wonderful, quiet for a fan of this type.

The shop fan has been excellent; I am glad I stopped at Home Depot when I did !

Great. Runs excellent

We were backing up Vornado fan purchased n 1991, seems to be slowing down. Original fan has variable speed control, new one has 3 speed to choose, we've found we prefer variable control. Do prefer handle on this one.

This was my second purchase a "Vornado" 10.75 Heavy-Duty High-Velocity Whole Room Shop Fan. I don't think that I would recommend it for Industrial use, in my humble opinion it doesn't have quite the velocity needed for larger spaces, it is however adequate for home use. additionally it is also quite an attractive circulator compared to the other brands that produce greater circulation for less money.

Sounds like a tornado and throws air out like one. Love it. I definitely would buy another.

love this fan, very powerful and cooling. Have not had it long enough to clean or attest to durability. But have had Vornado fans in past and they lasted for years.

Exactly as it was supposed to be and just as It always has been (200 stars out of 5 ) no complaints at all Blows Strongly. circulates the air and keeps me cool even though its in another room. its being used to move the air form the Window unit to my room and it does so Without flaw. later i will get me another one just like it and replace my older Vornado fan that i have had over 10 years. like i said No complaints on this top class item

Great High Velocity Fan cannot believe how quiet it is ,also could not believe how much my husband payed for this fan but was a great purchase after all.

I waited a long time to purchase this fan. I actually bought two other larger, more industrial, fans first. One was a 40in pedestal stand and the other was a 30 inch wall mount. Both were from Northern. I wish I would have bought this first. Is it as powerful, No. Does it move as much air as I expected, not quite. However it is tiny in comparision, much lighter, and much less noisy. I would say it is almost as quiet as Vornado small fans. It is super easy to move which why I use it so much. The whole reason I was looking for a fan was to move air on our back porch. Using this fan on the porch is more pleasant than either of the other bigger fans. And when I am done it is super easy to store away instead of having to leave it outside.

I thought it would have been stronger for the price and description.

My old shop fan went out and I purchased the Vornado as a replacement. It's a monster for its size. It will blow the wrinkles off your face!

Our AC went out and this fan did a excellent job of keeping the air moving until we got it fixed.

The best fan

Saw the cubic feet/minute rate and thought it would be handy to compare. Well, none of the other fans I was interested in seemed to have such a thing. Took a chance and was disappointed in its air moving abilities. Will probably use it at work instead of hoem.

I needed a fan that could run all day everyday, and this is it. I also know from past experience that Vornado stands behind their product with hardly any limitations. Excellent product!

It seems a bit overpriced for its output. But in fairness it is being used in a garage in Louisiana so getting even a little relief from the heat while working is welcome. Works well if you're a n the path of its wind: as for cooling a room it seems less effective. Certainly, its frame weight does make it seem as though it is "heavy duty" - I do expect the motor to work well for years to come.
