I bought it as pump to empty my hot tub and pond. It works just as I had hoped.

I received this, unpacked it, and just tried it by putting it in a container of water to see if it worked. it Pumped the water great. The real test will be when my basement floods. (which I do not want to happen)

We were fighting some massive roof leaks on a flat roof during a rainy July. This pump arrived almost immediately even though I didn't pay for expedited shipping. It works as promised. I purchased this one because it promised to work even in 1/8 " of water, and it does. Thanks, Home Depot.

EASY TO SET UP, JUST ATTACH A GARDEN HOSE, DROP IT INTO THE WATER AND PLUG IT IN. FOR SHIPPING THOUGH, IT NEEDS BETTER PACKAGING, IT ARRIVED WITH PART OF BOTTOM COLLAR BROKEN.

This is a wonderfull little pump (after the fact). It can't keep up with a thunderstorm but, if you have the drainage problem I have and a central AC that creates about 35 gallons of water, on a hot day, you will have many spring and summer days your yard is to muddy to mow in places. I placed this pump in a pit in the middle of a 50 ft. french drain running the length of a low spot with a discharge hose running to our cement driveway which ajoins the street gutter.. Now, what used to be a mud puddle for several days is mowable the day following a thunder storm. In hindsight, I plan to replace this pump with another one having an 1 1/2" discharge, slightly more horse power and a float switch, FULLY AUTOMATED!

I use this pump to flushs out a tankless water heater it cleans the heater very quickly.

I used this pump outside of its application. I used it in a swimming pool attatched to a solar heater. It ran continuously for 3 months until the chlorine in the water did it in. So no complaints here, it was a workhorse..

used this pump to empty 10000 gls pool. Worked as advertised, Will see if, and how it will work after ANOTHER hurricane season in NJ

I used this pump for several different applications. Although I dont think that the 950 galons per hour rate was ever reached the pump performed well. I emptied a water feature, pool cover and some standing water behind my home. For the online price the pump is great.

Good pump, perfect for small jobs, draining excess water from pool for example. Screen mesh can plug with debris so dirty jobs require extra attention. Overall, an excellent value.

I bought this product to flush a tankless water heater. I've only used it once, so we'll see how it stands the test of time, but for the price, which included shipping, it worked great.

this pump is a work horse, very much worth the money. i drained a 24 foot round pool in no time and never had an issue. Great for water in the basement. i highly recommend this product.

This pump is great to have as an emergency backup. Only down side is that you have to watch over it because there is no on/off switch.

This pump is very easy to use. Pumps out water at reasonable speed. Easy to clean screen on bottom of pump. Takes water down to 1/8 inch deep. Would highly recommend this pump.

I got this pump to use with my hot tub works well and seems to be made very sturdy. I would by this brand again

I've had this pump a few weeks. I bought it to empty a spa I am not using right now since I do not have a spa cover yet and use the pump to empty the rainwater from the spa. I left the pump in the spa and we experienced several major downpours over the next week. When I remembered that the pump had been in the spa and been submerged for several days, I figured I had ruined the pump. After taking it out of the spa and letting it sit for a day, it ran just fine. It drains the spa in minutes and I can see many uses for it. It has a metal ring on the top for attaching a lifting line to it. I cut about 6' from the end of an old garden hose for a discharge hose. It lifted the water about 30" with excellent discharge pressure. The electric cord was plenty long enough for my use. As advertised, it left the last 1/8" of water in the spa.

I own other wayne pumps and have been very pleased with there performance. After what happened with this one I will never buy a wayne pump again. I used this pump to cycle the water in my fountain/pond in my back yard. The pump died after about 5 months. I called wayne to get a replacement and was told they would not honor the warranty because I hooked up the pump to a timed switch. They concluded that the switch allowed the pump to run out of water which ruined the pump. I explained that could not happen because the pond is self filling. The pump just circulates the water and the fish in the pond would be dead if it ran dry. They are doing just fine. That did not matter to wayne. Wayne does not back its products anymore so I will not buy from them anymore.

very quiet pump, lightweight, easy to use. Did I mention how quiet it is? And that it is lightweight and easy to use? I think I did.

Works better than expected in draining water from a tub or a pond, Does not plug easily with debris.

Good for watering the lawn at the cabin and for pumping Cattle water tanks.

I used this to drain my hot tub. Drained my tub in no time. I was able to submerge the whole device and the hose I attached ran the water to a drain off. It does what it says it supposed to do.

Bought this to remove water from crawl space under the house. This pump handled the task with ease. Connect and roll out the hose, plug in the pump and you're done. I prop up the end of the hose making it easier to monitor the water flow. Wouldn't want to burn this baby up.

A good pump for the money, but I bought it to take the water off a pool cover. I had it sitting in a 5 gal bucket with 1/4 inch holes. The screen on the bottom of the motor is micro! You need to clean it every 15-20 min's. I removed the screen and it seemed to work O.K. Good motor for the money but remove the screen and take your chances.

I needed a pump to drain our spa periodically. This pump does the job quickly and the price was reasonable.

Very pleased with product. Bought to drain my jacuzzi and it has served me well for this purpose.

It is so easy to use and so portable. It pumps with amazing speed. It uses a standard garden hose for the discharge side: nothing else to buy!
