I had high hopes for this tool. Living in California, there are two things I’m dealing with: seasonal grasses and oak detritus (leaves, etc). This device is suitable for neither. In the space of an hour after I set up the tool, I had run through most of the pack of replacement “blades”, they rarely lasted 10 minutes. The seasonal grasses were too tough, and the oak detritus contained small oak twigs and sticks which also wore down the blades very fast.

For me, this works better than the blower/vac I had been using. No more having to empty a cloth bag every few minutes. No more having to walk across the yard to where a bag is waiting. No more clouds of leaf dust in the face when emptying the bag. Works even better if I can get someone to help me by raking the leaves to where the mulcher is set up.

I ordered this for my husband for Christmas! It arrived early in November! We have four oak trees in our yard and still had quite a few leaves! We opened this up and put it to Worx!! What a dream! Easy to use! Mulched to nothing! Merry Christmas!!!!

Works great. I used a professional grade string with ribs to extend the cutting power of the unit. The amount of debris that you allow in the chamber dictates how often you change the string. Really wet leaves turn to mud the unit works so well. I would buy this again

I put this to work as soon as it came in. Easy assembly. The mulch looks very good so we spread around flower beds.

For shredding leaves its unbeatable. Plug it in and go to town. Unfortunately it could use some design improvements; 1) allow for the .095 string 2) make the string head removable so one could quickly change out with another loaded head instead of doing the string replacement in the tub.

Not effective. Took more time bending over and replacing the week string provided. Better to use a lawn mower to simply mulch up leaves and then blow them as you wish.

This was the first product I purchased. It would be wrong of me to say it was the best because all the products I purchased have proven to be great.

After raking up 13 bags the first go around and 22 the second time I had to find an easier way to get rid of all the leaves. This mulcher is wonderful. I'm a female senior and can use this with no problem. It works great and not too heavy for me to use. It uses bags to catch the mulch and it has a wide area on the top to toss in the leaves. Again a great product!

I purchased this for the mulching capability of 11 bags to 1 bag Seems to clog up with leaves and pine straw. Not to mention that the weed eater line doesn’t last long under normal conditions Just another item that will take up space in the utility shed.

The product works well. The biggest complaint I have is that it has a cheap plastic bolt holding the wheel with trimmer cord onto the unit. It stripped the second time I changed the line. The whole thing might be unusable if I can't find a replacement.

Not very practical design, too much stop and go, even though was careful to feed only leaves into mulcher. Strings wear out after 15-20 minutes of use, leaves clog up the sides and shredding stops, just spewing out dust.

I have a .75 acre lot with lots of big trees. This mulcher helped cut down on the amount of time/bags required to bag up the leaves! It’s a mush have for those that have tons of leaves!

This leaf mulcher works great and you can’t beat the price

I got this for my husband who has been dealing with leafs for weeks. Absolutely a life saver. Cut the amount of bags in over half. Highly recommend!

Use only for dry leaves - No small stumps or vines when mulcing

The leaf mulcher is easy to put together and use. I am very happy with this product took less time to cleanup the yard than I thought. I recommend this product it is a good buy.

Bought this about a month ago and have used it on two afternoons. Easy to use and mulches a lot of leaves in a short period. What previously took about 8 hrs to mulch, was done in 2 hrs. with much improved mulching. My only areas for improvement so far are that the twine doesn't last long enough (though is easy to replace) and an adapter for a trash can would be nice since plastic bags are now taboo in my area. I have not tried the paper bag adapter yet.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, so far without a single jam.

This thing will definitely cut the amount of bags you use by a lot. Only problem is it'll take you a very long time. Having to stop and change out the line every 5 to 10 minutes gets old real quick. I had to switch to a thicker line and got it to last much longer as well as mulch better. An area for improvement would be a bigger mulching area so leafs don't clog as well as making the drum which holds the leaves needs to be taller so more than a scoop can be mulched. I eventually had to give up and just burnt my leaves because it would've taken me way too long. Would be great for smaller yards with few trees, not for a yard with lots of trees or leaves. Otherwise prepare to spend a whole weekend mulching. Love the Worx products and I will still use this, just not as much as I would've hoped.

I have only used this machine once so far. It works as advertised but there is a lot of dust and I am unable to use the paper bags bought in the box stores. The bag openings are too small for the ring and you have to rip the bag to make it fit.

What would normally be 2 large garbage cans, is now 1 bag

I bought this at the beginning of fall. It is fairly sturdy, easy to assemble, and starts and stops with no problem. It does not shred the leaves as finely as my gas chipper/shredder, does not handle wet or fibrous leaves well, and does not handle sticks of any size. That said, I can use it by myself instead of depending on my husband to do the job with me, it is not as loud and there are no gas fumes, so it's worth having.

I researched leaf mulchers and was convinced this was what I needed. I wasn't disappointed. It works great. The only problem is that after 2 years, in our 3rd season of use, the motor died on me. The problem - Worx discontinued the motors. So, I'm now out a leaf mulcher. We'll see how their warranty and their customer service is.

I had my doubts about this mulcher but I am totally pleased with the results! I was worried about some reviews I read about it not being able to handle small sticks or wet leaves. Some of the sticks that accidentally got in would just slip through the machine and fall out. Some of the sticks were cut up. Wet leaves were mulched up very nicely. I now use the mulched leaves around landscaped areas and for attracting earthworms. My koi fish love earthworms!
