Awesome bulb and easy setup
So, I've been planning on changing over from florescent to LED for a while. I don't know why I waited so long. This comes with easy install instructions and I had my old florescent light in the kitchen converted to LED in about 30 minutes. They work great! Much brighter than I expected! I love them!!!

These lights are fantastic. Just replaced the bulbs in our kitchen with these (after trying several other brands). These had the best color and a really wide light dispersion (due to triangular bulb). Getting rid of that ballast also stopped the buzzing noise that did not go away with other LED solutions. Can't say enough about how happy I am with this purchase.

These lights were used to replace conventional florescent 48" bulbs in several types of fixtures from way way old to newer. Each Toggled LED bulb includes wire nuts, conversion sticker and end connectors to replace existing if needed. I found the newer the fixture, the more need to replace powered end connectors on one end only. Be sure to try each of the color temperatures (3000, 4000, 5000 K) for your application/room. Sometimes a blend/mixture of two different color temperature bulbs can really make a room pop, depending on fixture / bulb spacing from each other. I find these turn on faster than the old bulbs and have a ramp down when turned off. The light output is constant compared to the old bulbs which flickered at 60 Hz. 16 watt replacement is very bright at half the energy use. Photo shows 3 bulbs in each fixture but you can reduce number of bulbs as desired. Ceiling is not dark but appears that way due to bright lights.

The tubes use 125 VAC, so it is necessary to rewire the fixture to feed 125 directly to the tube contacts. You must also remove the ballast. This is easy to do if you understand basic electricity. The tubes come in a kit that provides all the parts normally needed for the project, and some extra parts that are probably not needed. The project should probably take about 30 minutes. The light from the tubes is very bright. There is no flicker or start up delay. I refit an old, pre-WW2, florescent fixture with two of these tubes. The result is pretty cool.

EXCELLENT - I just bought a new 48 in. 2 lamp light fixture for over my kitchen sink. It requires T8 Lamps which are not included. I converted the light fixture for use with these lamps. Even easier to convert before mounting. Very easy to convert. I saw a you tube video only once and I was good to go. Each lamp comes with 2 tombstones that replace your existing ones. They also come with directions and 2 wire nuts. They do not include wire. I used the existing wire inside the lamp fixture. I removed the ballast and the old tombstones. The lamps are marked "AC Input" so this end goes to the hot wired side of the tombstones. The other end is not used except for holding the lamp in place. A nice feature of this lamp is that the outside is made of plastic, NOT glass so you don't have to worry about breaking one.

I must agree with Monster, these replacement bulbs are amazing! As he stated, these are not plug and play replacements, but very easy to do. I did exactly the same as he did. I replaced my four tube kitchen fixture bulbs first. I was tired of the old tube hassle, but didn’t like any of the new cheapie fixtures available. I kept my old oak housing, just upgraded with new LED lamps. The project took less than an hour to complete. They look so nice, I went back and got 2 more to replace my laundry room lights. Night and day difference! I should have replaced those old things sooner.

I bought six of these Daylight lights to replace four in my kitchen and two in my laundry room, and four of the Cool White lights to replace the four fluorescent lights in my garage. I have to say this was the best home improvement project I have done this year. To begin with, the buyer must understand this is NOT a plug-and-play direct fluorescent replacement. The ballast must be taken out of the circuit and the 120VAC wired directly to the little "tombstone" connectors provided with the bulb. With little more than a screwdriver and a pair of wire strippers I was able to do this easily on my five dual-lamp fixtures. The first one took me half an hour but the rest of them were less than 15 minutes once I had figured it out. I chose to physically remove my old ballasts even though the instructions say to cut the wires off them and leave them up there. I felt better just removing them entirely, but make sure you dispose of them properly as they are hazardous waste. I used the wires from the old ballasts and the new wire nuts provided. There are YouTube videos and links to show how this is done. Just be sure to shut off the circuit breaker before you start so you don't get zapped. If you can strip a wire, you can do this. The quality of the light is superb. Unlike the fluorescents they replaced, these lights come on instantly when you flip the switch. Without ballasts, there is no buzz or hum -- they are completely silent. There's no discernible flicker, just cool, clean light. If that was all there was to this upgrade, I'd be perfectly happy, but there's more! These lamps are DIMMABLE. In both my kitchen and laundry room I installed the compatible Lutron Maestro dimmers to replace the wall switches. (The Toggled website tells you which dimmers will work with these lamps.) My wife is overjoyed that she can dim the kitchen lights in the evening or go into the laundry room at night without being blinded by the full brilliance of the light fixtures in there. The lights can be adjusted at will to almost any intensity from barely on to full brightness. The final triumph here is that they save on electricity. Not only are they half the wattage of a conventional T8 fluorescent bulb, but remember those pesky ballasts? Those draw about 4W each by themselves and they're gone too. The bottom line is these LED replacements use less than half the power of the original lights while being silent, instant on, and dimmable with bright, even light. Toggled claims they'll last for 46 years. I don't care if that's true or not, but if it is, I won't have to worry about them again until the year 2063! What more could anyone ask from a light? Five stars all the way. Exceeds expectations. Highest possible recommendation!

The associate at Home Depot pointed out to me that the lumen output on these LED lamps was about half that of the regular 32w Florescent lamps. I decided to give a couple of them a try anyway and to my surprise they are just as bright as the other existing lamps already installed. I will be buying more of them now to replace the noisy Florescent ballasts in my work room.

I installed four new led bulbs about 4 weeks ago, replacing my aging kitchen fluorescent types. Be sure to get the bulbs with the built-in ballast as it's well worth the small added cost. Easy directions and installation with basic electrical knowledge.

These bulbs are great. I installed 2 of them in my kitchen light fixture because I was tired of fighting ballasts and bad bulbs. I removed the ballast and wired the power straight to the bulb sockets just like the instructions said to do and it worked great. I like the fact you only have to run wires to one end of the tube which makes it really simple. I was planning to fill in the ceiling and add track lighting but after installing a new cover and painting the trim around the light I am going to leave it like it is. Now I have to do the same thing to the light a few feet over as the new LED's make the old fluorescent look dim. After that is done I shouldn't have to work on kitchen lighting for a long time.

I bought 4 Toggled tubes from home depot for a kitchen light. Discussed the installation with the Home Depot electrical expert, who showed me the UTube installation video. At home I reviewed the video...piece of cake, easy install, so much better. I have installed a good many lights in my time. I checked the voltage, power, shunted and unshunted tombstones, thought it was easy, until I turned on the power, and no lights. I reversed tubes, checked wiring connections, rechecked power....nothing. I reread instructions, tried alternatives....nothing. Tried to call Toggled...it was 2:30pm Central time...They close at 4pm Eastern time, so no connection. So nothing for 3 hours of work that was supposed to be a 5 minute job.

It's a great price when bought by the case (average cost per lamp came out to roughly $11 per lamp in a case of 25) as compared to an individual LED lamp would have cost $20. The product is only available online and the shipping was free to Hawaii. I've enclosed a photo of a retrofit on an old fluorescent fixture with T8 LED daylight lamps.

          Fantastic
My setup was a bit confusing at first because I have two 4 lamp fixtures in my kitchen and both are controlled in sync with two separate wall switches at opposite ends of the kitchen. So I read that my t12 fixture uses non shunted lamp holders so no modification was necessary there. I get to the wiring and notice on one fixture there are two black, two white and two ground wires. After 3 days of fiddling with wiring configurations, with no luck, I decided to wire both sets of wires to the fixture and wallah! So apparently the other fixture is daisy chained to the one with four wires which makes sense. Light is perfect, not too soft and not to blue. Now knowing how simple the install is, I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade to led.

          LED 16 Watt replacements for 40 Watt fluorescent tubes. T8 & T12 4' long
A pair of these 16W tubes replaces a pair of 40W in the same fixture (with modifications). Yes you can use just one bulb in a two tube fixture. But I'd wire it up for a pair, since taking it down and apart and reassembling is most of the work, just in case you need more light. Much better light output with substantial energy savings, 40% electrical power saving on one fixture 32W vs 80W. Takes some work on the fixture, but relatively easy to do. I installed 2 different 'colors' for my work bench shop light. One 5000k "natural" and one 4000k "cool white". I like the mixture; works good on small stuff and is a good overall color. Wish the photographs would show the difference, but I'm not a professional photographer and my camera over compensates.. The 'Natural Light' is a bit more blue than the 'Cool White'. My local store has a good display for the 'colors' of LEDs; perhaps yours does, see what you like better. The tubes are not round, but more triangular. This provides an obvious installation orientation. The individual LED's are not visible due to the plastic diffuser. See the after picture; in the lower left is another brand of tubes and the individual LED's are visible. Just FYI: A T8 tube is 8/8 or 1 inch in diameter. Likewise a T12 is 12/8 or 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Tubes came with everything needed: Extra end caps "tombstone" (I reused mine since they were in good shape) Wire nuts (again I just reused mine) Good instructions - read the manual! Adhesive labels to mark the fixture or "illuminary" as they call it - "modified for LED use" Took me longer to remove the fixture and clean it than doing the retrofit. (~ 20 minutes total time) Turn off power (unplug in my case) Remove tubes, fixture and 20 years of dust & crud Open up the fixture and remove the ballast (please recycle it), cut / strip wires & reassemble The wire colors in the fixture: Power input (3 wires) - White, Black and Green,(may be a bare copper wire) The tubes have 4 pins: 2 are for power input, the other pair are just structural mounting, and not electrically connected. Attach a red and blue wire to the white and the other red and blue to the black wire. Re-assemble then Re-install / hang the fixture Plug it back in and done

Or $10.18 / year. These tubes should be good +10 years (the box says 46 years? (@ / 3 hours/day) 50,000 hour life). They have a 5 year warranty. These are "instant start" and are dimmable (with LED compatible dimmer) but since this is one of my shop lights, I don't use a dimmer.

48 in. T8 daylight Dimmable Linear Led Light Bulbs
I replaced the bulbs in my floressent lights in my kitchen several months ago and when I did I bought 12 bulbs and accidently picked up 2 that were not the Dimmable kind and just now got around to replacing those 2 . The quality of light is so much better and brighter that I installed dimmers on them. At 74 years old I like a lot of light and these are perfect. I have replaced all the floressent 24 total bulbs in my house and all the incandescent light bulbs in my house this year and really pleased with them, really brightened it up no more yellow cast lights now, or dark shadow. Thanks Frank Koerbacher P. S. sorry for the clutter in the kitchen, Frank

Very easy to install. The support from the company is amazing. I sent them a photo of my light fixture and they sent a custom wiring diagram back to me.. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Now that the 4 LED replacements have been installed, the lights come on instantly and provide wonderful natural lighting in my garage.

Toggled Cool White Dimmable LED Tubes
Stumbled across these LED bulbs at the Home Depot by mistake. I think Home Depot and Toggled should make a bigger display about these LEDs not requiring a ballasts. I was shopping for some new bulbs for my broken laundry room light. I've been wanting to switch to LED but that would mean a new fixture and I didn't want to spend the extra money. With a new ballast in hand, I found some 48" florescent bulbs when I noticed the Toggled LED bulbs. In small print the box said NO BALLASTS and I was sold. I actually just left my new ballast on the shelf next to the Toggled bulbs. Installation was easy and on the box and printed on the instruction is a URL to watch Toggled's installation video. Although at the time the toggled.com/installation URL wasn't correct. I've added the correct instruction video to the bottom of this review. Only issue I had was the sockets (two per bulb) provided were too small to fit in my fixture. My original fixture's sockets (shown in my photos) had a groove where two metal clips attach the socket to the fixture. The Toggled sockets are a bit small. Toggled has details in the instructions to address where to get difference sockets but I didn't want to wait. Plus my wife has been telling me all week it's hard to wash my underwear in the dark! Anyway, I was able to just pinch the metal clips closer to the ends of the Toggled socket to secure it to my fixture. Wasn't the cleanest fix but it did work fine. That's the only reason I didn't give the product a 5 star rating. Over all the light was far superior to my old 30W/T12 bulbs. Plus no more shorting out ballasts or hot buzzing bulbs draining power. Now Toggled needs to make some 36" & 24" dimmable bulbs so I can retro fit my kitchen!

this is about the fifth set of LED replacement kits for the old ballast/fluorescent systems in my home. Installation takes minutes and the difference is so much better. The cost for the kit is about half of the cost of a ballast and two tubes. I recommend this product to friends and family all the time.

I installed two sets of these about 1 1/2 years ago and am very satisfied. So much so, that I replaced the last of my fluorescent lamps (4 sets of 2 lamps) with these. They work great and I don't have to worry about switching the lamps on and off too often. (Fluorescent lamp life is shortened if they are switched frequently.) I would definitely buy them again. Just a note, it does take some learning to do the replacing. Better instructions might help, but definitely watch the YouTube videos.

We sincerely apologize that one of the tubes did not work at installation. Please be sure the powered end of the tube, marked with “AC Input”, is facing the powered end of the fixture. Since our tubes are single-ended power only, if it’s installed backwards, it will not come on.

Please contact us anytime if we can assist. We're happy to walk through any troubleshooting necessary to help resolve an issue. We can be reached at 1-844-864-4533.
