Can I buy The Home Depot Gift Card and have it sent to someone else?
We can ship your plastic gift card(s) to anyone with a valid street address within the 50 United States. Or, you can purchase an eGift Card and have it emailed to your recipient.
Where do you ship Gift Cards?
Gift cards may be shipped to valid street addresses within the 50 United States. We do not ship gift cards outside of the United States.
Are Canadian Gift Cards available?
You may purchase a Canadian The Home Depot Gift Card online at homedepot.ca. You may also purchase Canadian Gift Cards by visiting a local The Home Depot store in Canada.
Where can I use U.S. and/or Canada The Home Depot Gift Cards?
U.S gift cards may be used for purchase of merchandise or services at The Home Depot stores in the U.S. and online at HomeDepot.com. U.S. gift cards may not be used in Canada or online at HomeDepot.ca.

How are eGift Cards different from physical Gift Cards?
Physical gift cards are sent to recipients via mail, eGift Cards are sent via e-mail and can be printed out, added to Apple Wallet or saved to Google Wallet. Both plastic and eGift Cards have no fees or expiration dates and are redeemable at any The Home Depot store or online at HomeDepot.com.
Can I buy multiple Gift Cards at once?
Yes, you may purchase up to 100 The Home Depot gift cards totaling up to $5000 in one day. If you need more than $5000, and you are distributing gift cards for business purposes, please contact our Corporate Gift Card sales department at 1-866-232-9040, option 2 or visit The Home Depot Corporate Gift Card website.
How do I place a Corporate Gift Card order?
You may order The Home Depot Corporate Gift Cards by visiting the Home Depot Corporate Gift Card page. For questions regarding an order, you may call a Corporate Gift Card sales associate at 1-866-232-9040, option 2.
What is the shipping time for physical Gift Cards purchased online?
The Home Depot physical gift cards are shipped via USPS to any address within the 50 United States. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.
How can I check the balance on my Gift Card?
You may check the available balance on your The Home Depot gift card in one of two ways: 1) Visit any The Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. 2) Check your balance online at Home Depot Check Balance.
Can I use a Gift Card to purchase my online order?
Yes, up to 10 The Home Depot Gift Cards may be used in a single checkout to make purchases online at HomeDepot.com.
Are Gift Cards able to be returned?
No. The Home Depot gift cards are not returnable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash (unless required by law), check, credit, or payment on any credit or loan account nor Tool Rental deposits.
Can I use my Gift Card toward loan payments?
No. The Home Depot gift cards may not be used toward any credit or loan account.
Can I use my Gift Card for a Tool Rental deposit?
No. The Home Depot gift cards are not able to be used as Tool Rental deposits.
How long should I keep my Gift Card(s) after using as tender for an online purchase?
Please retain your gift card(s) until you have either received your online order or picked it up at a store location. No charges will be deducted from your gift card(s) until your order has been shipped or until you receive your Order Ready for Pick Up Notification.
Is The Home Depot Gift Card reloadable?
Yes. You can reload your The Home Depot Gift Card at any The Home Depot store or online on HomeDepot.com.
Can I change the value of a Gift Card after I've paid for it?
Once you have purchased a gift card, you may add additional funds to the card by reloading it at any The Home Depot store or online on HomeDepot.com.
Are there any fees associated with Gift Cards?
No. You will only be charged the face value of the gift card.
Can I cancel my online purchase of a Gift Card?
No, all gift card sales are final and are not able to be returned or refunded.
When is my credit card charged for my purchase?
Your credit card is charged when your order has been processed for shipping or email delivery.
Can I buy a Gift Card for myself or someone else?
Yes. The checkout experience will allow you to enter either the physical address or the email address for your intended recipient.
Can I purchase a Gift Card with other The Home Depot merchandise in the same transaction?
Yes, you may add other The Home Depot merchandise to your gift card order.
What exactly does the recipient receive when I send an eGift Card?
An email is sent to the recipient informing them of your gift, with a link to retrieve it online. The link in the email goes to a page showing the eGift Card you created, its value and eGift Card number. This page also gives simple instructions for redeeming the eGift Card.
When is the eGift Card sent to the recipient?
The eGift Card email notification is sent to the recipient within hours after your transaction is complete.
Can I let someone else use my Gift Card?
Yes. Please treat your Gift Cards the same as cash.
What if I lose my Gift Card?
If you misplaced your gift card, or if your gift card was lost or stolen, contact Customer Care immediately at 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337), option 7 and then option 5. If your gift card has not been redeemed or has some remaining value, we can cancel the original and reissue a new gift card to you for the remaining value.
Can I use store credits I received in a store for a new online purchase?
No. Store credits received in store are not able to be redeemed online.
Why can store credits only be used for in-store transactions?
To avoid potential fraud, theft and consumer confusion, The Home Depot will not permit store credits to be redeemed online.
How can I check the balance remaining on my store credit?
Visit a local The Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Store credit balance inquiries cannot be made online.
What should I do if my Gift Card balance has been depleted or deactivated, but I did not use all the funds?
First, check with anyone else who may have had access to the gift card to see if they have made any purchases that could have depleted the balance. If you are still unsure why the gift card was deactivated or depleted, contact our Customer Care team at 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337).
What should I do if I am the victim of a Gift Card scam?
If you are the victim of a gift card scam related to a The Home Depot Gift Card or any gift card purchased in one of our stores, please contact our Customer Care team to report the scam at 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337).
