Your Virtual ID is now HD Pass. The improved functionality allows you to identify and receive member benefit such as Preferred Pricing, Paint rewards, Military discounts, and purchase tracking.

No, adding a credit card is optional and not required to use HD Pass

HD Pass currently supports all VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX credit or debit cards including the Commercial Revolving Credit (CRC), Pro Xtra Credit Card, and Consumer Credit Card. Gift cards and Store Credit cannot currently be used with HD Pass.

HD Pass is available nationwide and can be used in store at your local The Home Depot.

HD Pass can only be used at self-checkout and assisted checkout. It cannot be used at tool rental or to lookup a return.

You will receive a refund back on the credit/debit card that was used. Any perks that were used for the transaction will be refunded in the form of store credit that can be used in-stores only.

Refresh your HD Pass by selecting the Refresh HD Pass link at the bottom of the HD Pass page. c. Close and reopen the Home Depot app. d. Request assistance from an associate.

To add a credit or debit card to HD Pass each user will need to authorize the card using the card’s security code.

Any credit/debit card that is inactive or expired is not shown on the payment methods page. You can reactivate or update those cards by those cards by going into the Cards & Accounts page on desktop or in the Home Depot app.
