Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a storage sale in 2026?

Garage Storage Savings are here, so start shopping now. From tool chests to workbenches, we've got bargains on what you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from 6/22–8/18, and make this the year you sort out the shed, garage, and basement.

What should I bring when moving into my college dorm?

We've got your college dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies to sanitize the space. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Extension cords and power strips let you place floor lamps, mini fridges, and microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack or underbed storage yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your Ray Road Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Be certain your home is equipped for relentless summer heat by repairing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. If water gets in the crevices, you might be looking at trouble. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the exterior of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing for damage that can let water come in. Keep gutters clear of debris to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Do you have moving boxes?

Make your move easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, blizzards, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

What's the project at the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Stop by for the Kids Workshop from 9–12 noon on August 1st. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this cute pint-sized rocket game. Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to sharpen listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this quick craft while supplies last. The best part is launching the rocket, so leave some time to send your rocketship into space!

The Home depot off of Ray rd and the 10 freeway.

Home Depot Ray Rd, Lance in appliances is a great help. Definitely met our needs.
Looking forward to my GE washing machine. Particularly because it is not touch screen. I'd prefer the dials and switches and the momentary push buttons. Thanks Lance your awesome sir.

      Return not accepted
I had return for 3 products that were still tagged from home depot and I had the original store receipt. The receipt was over 90 days old but less than a year, and I was willing to accept store credit, but was denied. It turns out that the original purchase was also done with store credit. THe return for the earlier purchase was an expensive bathroom mirror that was the wrong size. A delay because of my contractor resulted in the error in size being pushed out of the normal 90 day return policy window. I had the original receipt, and was happy to accept a cash credit card, as this was in the middle of a remodel and I had additional purchases to make. Little did I know (and was not informed by store personnel) that purchases made on that cash credit card would not be subject to the same return policy as otherwise. The person at the return desk said their was nothing he could do as the computer rejected the return. I visited the website returns.thd.theretailequation.com, and was told that store credits are often issued for returns without a receipt, and that is why I was denied. That in fact is in error, because I had the original store receipt, both for the original return for the mirror, and for this most recent purchase I was trying to return. I am 100% totally dissatisfied with this return policy, and there is nobody I can talk to to explain the logic of my situation.

Friendly and Above and Beyond service
I had stopped in to pay for a purchase that I had previously ordered and encountered some difficulty while trying to get the Home Depot credit card to go through. The associate Kaiya and I tried numerous times and then I had the pleasure of working with Judy Robinson. After nearly 1 1/2 hours of phone calls with Home Depot credit services, we were finally able to resolve the issue. I can't thank both Kaiya and Judy enough for their patience while we navigated this issue. They are both to be commended for their patience and professionalism with me. Judy has an amazing attitude! Please let these exemplary employees know how much I appreciate them. Thank you!!!

Can't buy items on the shelf that had barcode
I was trying to buy polypropylene bags to make some sandbags for a project. I was doing only five of them. The computer wouldn't let the store sell them to me even though they were on the shelf with a barcode. They were very nice about it and actually gave me five bags, but it's strange that it's a seasonal item. We've had a lot of rain and the computer won't let the stores sell them. Thankfully the employees had some common sense so I was able to finish my project
