What is Express Delivery, and is my store eligible?
Express Delivery is a same-day service that delivers products and job site supplies straight from your store to your door. Place your order by 4 p.m. local time to ensure delivery. Your order's eligibility depends on driver availability, item size, and local stock. Set your local store online or in The Home Depot app to check availability. Qualifying items will show an Express Delivery tag in your cart and at checkout (excludes bulk orders, aerosols, and custom mixed paint). Express Delivery orders may be subject to additional delivery charges.
What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?
Be certain your home is ready for summertime heat by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage that may let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If water gets inside the crevices, you could be dealing with damage.
What kinds of moving boxes do you have?
Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or tornados, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
