Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.

We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to order your kit.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

Gift cards to The Home Depot are an excellent present for any reason or during the holiday season. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to receive and to give. Buy gift cards at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.

Does The Home Depot Gates offer Curbside Pickup?

Yes, you can pick up Curbside Orders from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. using The Home Depot App.

Select "Curbside with The Home Depot App" at checkout when you shop eligible Store Pickup items. We will let you know via text message or email when your order is ready at the store. Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID with you.

To pick up your Curbside Order:
1. Download The Home Depot App.
2. Before you get to the store, use the link in your "Ready for Pickup" text message or email to tell us in the app that you're on the way.
3. After you arrive, park in a designated Curbside Pickup space, which is usually located near the front of the store.
4. Check in through the app to tell us you're here.
5. We will bring out your order and load it into your vehicle.
