Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's part of The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From workbenches to garage bundles, we've got deals on everything you need for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from June 22–August 18, and make this the year you clean out the basement and the garage.

Do you have dorm supplies?

Come see us for your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Be confident your home is equipped for summertime temperatures by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the exterior of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

What types of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

When is the free Kids Workshop this month?

Drop by our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on August 1st. Sign up for free to build a pint-sized rocket game. You provide the creativity and we provide the materials. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!

Bring back employees at the registers and stop self check out
I am sick of doing employees work for them and having to do my own self check out. Even when there is somebody there, they never look at your eyes or talk to you. They just basically grunt and grown and mumble.
