Frequently Asked Questions About The Home Depot

What's the return policy at The Home Depot?

We make returns easy. You can return purchases in-store or by mail. Many items can be returned within 90 days with proof of purchase, but certain items, like air conditioners, appliances, and furniture, must be in much sooner. Find more information by checking out our return policy.

Can I see when my order will arrive?

We've made it easier than ever to check your order status and scope out your delivery day. From processing to shipping, we'll let you know your order status.

How do I get building materials in bulk?

Bulk pricing helps reduce your costs. For many bulk items, just add the desired amount to your shopping cart online and proceed to checkout. Delivery costs and options will be calculated based on your location and the weight and size of your order. It's not just for Pros! We recommend contacting your local Home Depot store or our Pro Desk for extremely large or specialized bulk orders. Delivery charges vary based on the distance, order size, and specific delivery services that you choose.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice during the holiday season or for any occasion. DIYers know these gift cards are terrific to give and receive. They can be purchased online or in-store. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your closest Home Depot and ask a cashier to check your balance. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no extra fees.

How do I find The Home Depot's current deals?

What does The Home Depot app do?

Our mobile app was made for both DIYers and pros. Store mode shows what's in stock and where it's located in the store. Scan a UPC barcode for product specifications, reviews, and ratings so you can gather info before you make a purchase. Use image search to figure out what something is, so it's easier to replace it. Our app also includes additional features like shopping lists, augmented reality to see how an item will look in your home, and the ability to check your gift card balance or make payments on your Home Depot Credit Card. Download our app and get more done on the go.
