Tools & Truck Rentals at The Home Depot Near You

The Home Depot Rental Center at Phoenix, OR

When it's time to make the leap into a big DIY project, you might not have everything you need in the shed or garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by the Phoenix Rental Center for tools, large equipment, and trucks.

Tool Rental
Start your DIY project with the right tools for the job. Let our Tool Rental Center in Phoenix, OR expand your tool belt with the items you don't have on hand. Rent the tools you need and return them when the job is finished. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, you can buy our used tools. The retired rental tools are discounted in comparison to the new items in our aisles.

Rent Floor Sanders, Shop Vacs, Post Hole Diggers, and More
Tackle major projects with serious power tools. Revive your scuffed wood flooring with a floor sander rental and a shop vac rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Build a new fence around your property faster and more efficiently with an auger rental, then find other concrete tool rentals to suit the job at hand.

Add Insulation When the Weather Is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, refresh your insulation in the spring, if possible, before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Decide between a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies with ease. You'll enjoy steadier utility bills and a more consistent home temperature with new insulation.

Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks as well as Penske moving trucks ready for rental, with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your go-to source for moving and transport, too.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we have in stock.

Although we're calling out popular tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please reach out to your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to ask about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You could also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, check out these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions and CLEAR verification.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to review the contract and the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.

When do I return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you might get lucky and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. All large equipment and select tools require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't an option, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
