We are not aware of a standard fitting for this type of application.
The conduit I have is made by AFC Cable Systems, and is identified as their Liquid-Tuff Type LFNC-B. Looking at their website AFCweb.com in their Liquid-Tuff catalog, besides specing it for Exposure to Sunlight and Weather, Wet Locations, Direct Burial in Earth, Concrete Embedment, etc. etc. they also list Marinas and Boatyards. Since it is PVC, I wouldn't think salt water would have any effect on it.
The conduit and fitting would need to have a IP rating of 69 to minimum, but continuous use submerged is not in the NEC ode for LFNC. http://www.flexicon.uk.com/en/index.php?page=downloads.php
To connect two conduits together, you'll need a coupling or connector designed for the specific type of conduit you are using. Since the product you are referencing is "Liquid Tight 3/8 x 100 ft. Non-Metallic Conduit", you'll need a liquid-tight non-metallic conduit connector. These are typically made of PVC and are designed to create a watertight seal between the two conduit sections. Be sure to choose a connector that matches the conduit's trade size (3/8" in this case).
Depending on the fittings you need for the installation will determine what types to get. Your local Home Depot carries a big selection of liquid tight fittings, as well as here online. To cut non-metallic Liquid Tight like this, you simply use a sharp knife and cut through it.
Yes it is. It is printed on the label and product that the product is approved by UL for direct burial. Gene Brown 727-403- 8392
We only make the 2" NMLT in a 50' coil. I also researched on the Home Depot website and did not see the 2" NMLT fitting, but will send a note to the MD Merchant to reach out to their fitting supplier to see if they can add. We do sell the fitting for this, but HD does not stock and we only sell in bulk quantities: http://www.afcweb.com/afc-fittings/non-metallic-liquidtight-connectors/
Hi Jesse, there is no question posted. Please resend. Thanks!
Flexible Non-Metallic Conduit is typically not considered Schedule 40 http://www.afcweb.com/liquid-tuff-conduit/type-lfnc-b/. 10' or 20' Rigid Conduit is associated with Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 and you can refer to Home Depot Sku 67496 or 67561 for more info on these skus.
